International Star Wars Day

International Star Wars Day - May the Fourth Be with You

Tony Payne
"May The Force Be With You"
Said old Obi Wan
To a soon to be Jedi
He rescued in the sand

When Star Wars came out
It just blew us away
An action packed movie
From a Galaxy far far away

This was a huge leap forward
In nineteen seventy-seven
For those space fans among us
We were in Sci-fi heaven

Darth Vader was scary,
Princess Leia was hot
Luke Skywalker was her brother
What a complicated plot

Add a Wookie, Han Solo
C3PO and R2D2
And here you have the formula
For a rebel leading crew

A play on words is fun to do
International Star Wars Day has come
With a little rhyming trickery
"May The Fourth Be With You" everyone

Time to dig out the DVD's and relive memories of my first month of living in London. Star Wars came out at the same time, and it was awesome.

I haven't read Buck Rogers, but I liked the series they did on television, must have been a good 25 years ago now.

Very good! I've been a Science Fiction fan since I read Buck Rogers at age ten!
