UN Volunteers
UN Volunteers allows you to choose your own theme for contribution for some critical and hard pressed issues pertaining to your local community. Such as poverty irradiation, adult educations, environmental protection, HIV/AIDS, children education, abolication of child labor and so forth. Main thing is the people's partispations.

.
• Contact your local United Nations Association (http://www.wfuna.org/) and collaborate together on ways to celebrate and promote IVD.

• Launch a new page on your web site to coincide with IVD that notes specifically the IMPACT volunteers make at your organization and in yourxcommunity. Talk about the results of their contributions and detail how these contributions make a real difference.

• Contact your local newspaper about someone from your organization or from a volunteering network writing an editorial that will be published on December 5 and that will focus on the impact volunteers make specifically to your organization and to the immediate community, and/or to society as a whole.

• Keep all media outlets abreast of your plans for IVD.

• Conduct a time donation campaign where people pledge voluntary give time to volunteering programmes.

• Raise awareness of civil society organizations through workshops, discussion forums, conferences, exhibitions, media, etc. which help to highlight the importance of voluntary contributions in achieving the eight Millennium Development Goals.

So International Volunteer Day acts as a cohesive force to bring different Volunteer Originations world wide for a common cause of up liftment of Social and economical development. Most important aspect is fostering people's participation in the social change and human development.

Volunteer organizations and individual volunteers are people who are working towards solving different problems. The aim should be bringing whole community of social workers under one umbrella for the betterment and upliftment of entire mankind.
