Internet Alone?

When you are surfing on the net you are basically alone. Though you can access a helluva lot of information, entertainment and indulgence you still remain in your single original physical existence.

Though you can chat by typing or through voice mail to a mind-boggling array of friends or foes or lovers you continue to sit in your sedentary position in front of your computer. You still have to wait for the responses every time you express yourself. It's cut to cut, not spontaneous. So you are alone.

Though you can discuss or conference or talk by seeing all the participants and also allow them to see you the magic of touch and feel is just out of the way. You miss the warmth of togetherness, the pats and the bonhomie and of course the very essence of being human. So you are basically alone.

This kind of loneliness and endless 'sitting' exposure to the Internet can make you even depressed. In fact there have been a lot of debate and discussions on this issue and even on ghosts haunting some Internet sites. There has to be a way out.

We live in the most advanced and progressing millennium ever. There is no end to what we can do and achieve. There are reports that computers can start reading your brain very soon. So let's not lose hope.

We can start contributing our collective might into developing the ultimate software. A software that can allow you to remain human even while you are roaming the net. A software that may end your loneliness and consequent depression in a most dramatically permanent way. A software that can allow computers and humans mingle in a manner never before.

The Internet Matrix. Through this program you can enter your web world whenever you want touching the billions of pages letter by letter, flying instantly to meet your friends or foes or lovers instead of cut to cut monotonous exchange and partake the spirit of togetherness and net partying bonanza. While your sedentary body can remain a mute spectator you can revel in your humane bits and come back into it refreshingly alive and bubbling and energetic. The search engines will be your instant guides to go any place in the globe and meet anyone you find interesting. The Internet Matrix can make you a true blue quintessential global citizen.

Why not? In our fluid age everything hard is getting replaced by the soft. The hard is stationary, but the soft is boundless unhindered and totally free. We can join hands to create the ultimate stage in the soft revolution.

Your body is an obstinately physical obstacle. It's fast becoming a liability. Get rid of it.

Amen.
