Internet Companies that Are Changing the Game

Most of us are familiar with social networking sites such as MySpace and Facebook. And, if you're 18 or older here on AssociatedContent, you're used to using PayPal to collect your upfront and performance payments. But there are new companies out there that are competing against the usual suspects for your business. Here are two sites that are trying to turn the tide against the big companies and sites.

If you receive payments from AC, you use PayPal. But a new site has emerged that is looking to become the top dog of the online buying/selling industry. That site is RevolutionMoneyExchange. It works exactly like PayPal, but is has some differences that just might cause some PayPal users to switch. One of the biggest is that you get $10 for every person you refer, and can earn up to $500 per calendar year (meaning that you can refer up to 50 people from January to December). Another big change is that there are no fees for receiving payments. I know that is something that many people take issue with (myself included). If you use PayPal to sell your goods or services, and you charge $10.00, when you receive the payment, you're only getting $9.41. It might not seem like a lot, but it starts to add up, especially if you do a lot of online selling. The only fees you have to worry about with MoneyExchange are if you:

Withdraw a check ($2.50 per check)

Stop a check payment ($20.00 per check)

Request a paper statement ($5.00 per statement)

Do an ACH return ($35.00 per return)

Overdraft your account ($35.00 per overdraft)

Other than that, there are no hidden charges, no pesky transaction fees taking a bite of your earnings. There is also an enhanced login feature that asks for you to answer a security question, kind of like what you would expect if you use Bank of America's Online Banking from a different computer. There are no charges for adding money to your account or transferring money to your linked bank account. Nice huh?

This one has been around for awhile now, and its membership is growing everyday. Yuwie is a social networking site just like Facebook and MySpace with one twist - it pays you to do all the things you would normally do on these other two sites for free. Paid page view on Yuwie are:

The downside to Yuwie, however, is that everything is paid in very small amounts (change) and you can only have the payment deposited into your account when you reach the minimum balance. But if you already spend a lot of time on the computer, it might not be such a problem for you to get to that minimum balance.

If you're looking for alternatives to the regulars, these two sites might be a good fit for you. But as with most money making ideas, they will take some time and effort. If you want to save up for college, or maybe a vacation, by all means, you should check these sites out as a way to have some extra cash on hand.
