There are many different forms of computer crimes, Data Transfer Theft can occur when someone uses your phone that can be connected to a computer. You can log out of your computer and then someone can tap into your phone line and use the internet.

Then we have some new crimes that have been happening and making news, the three major crimes are unauthorized use of a computer, which might involve stealing user names and passwords, or might involve accessing the victim's computer via the Internet through a backdoor operated by a Trojan Horse program. Creating or releasing a malicious computer program (e.g., computer virus, worm, Trojan horse).
Harassment and stalking in cyberspace, this has become a problem with many users' now using My Space pages, Twitter, and dating web sites.
Intellectual property thief is when an individual tries to clam the rights of others work for the purpose of financial gain.
• Ways that the FBI are dealing with internet crimes
The FBI is stopping those that get involved with serious crimes online , they are trying to stop the threat of malicious code and to help identify any sexual predators who are using the internet to exploit young children, they are also watching for anyone trying to share child pornography, and our national security, anyone trying to engaged in Internet fraud. They have put together cyber action teams that analyze malicious code, these groups of experts travel around the world to catch cyber threats.
The FBI also has its own Computer Crimes Task Force Teams that concentrate on catching internet scams, and hackers.("Cyber Investigations", 2010,)
• Ways for AllTech Comm not to become a victim?
They could have people getting into their systems through their network routers, so they would need to have them all password protected. People could get in this way and steal information, like e-mail address, banking information, credit card numbers. For AllTechComm they need to protect their passwords, and have employees change their password on a regular basis about every six months to prevent hackers from taking information.
Internet service providers (ISPs) as well are becoming more concerned about protecting their small business clients' data and can serve as a valuable resource.
• Ways to protect ourselves online?
We should make sure that we have updated our software and making sure that it is protected by virus protection programs, and keeping web browsers updated and current.
