Internet Dating Sites, Insanity Comes in Many Different Forms

Okay let me just say that it amazes me to no end that there are people out there in this world that truly are the epitome of crazy and perverted.

In order for you to truly understand where this comment comes from, I should start from the beginning. Recently I found myself single again when the relationship I had been for several years suddenly came to an abrupt end. Fortunately my long time girlfriend also found herself in the same predictament, so she moved down from Michigan to stay with me in Kentucky. Once here she signed on to a local dating site to possibly meet a nice guy in the area and actually seemed to rather quickly find someone that seems to be making her happy.

To put it simply, it really wasn't long before I too decided to sign on to the local single site and put up my own profile. Although I'm definitely not interested in starting another long term relationship at this time, I felt as though it might be nice to get my feet wet so to speak. Trust me life gets pretty dull when all you have is a little dog and a girlfriend totally infatuated over her new man.

This now leads me to tell you why I am writing this editorial.

Once on the local dating site I quickly found out that it is truly amazing how many weird men are out there, as well as people that must truly be lacking in brain cells.

Understandably there are people of all kinds on all dating sites, and there are an endless amount of online dating websites to choose from. The most popular sites would have to be Match.com, Chemistry.com and Eharmony.com. However we went with a free local dating site that quickly caught our eye, since neither one of us planned on putting much effort into finding the men of our dreams. Both of us had been on dating sites before and they are all about the same, you get many emails inquiring about what your looking for, but not many men that are actually willing to make contact.

Most dating sites have a wide array of people ranging from the one night standers to people that most likely will never actually make contact with you, seemingly more interested in chatting than actually meeting anyone. Only occasionally do you actually trade emails and meet someone, however even a smaller percentage of those face to face meets actually result in a second date.

Fortunately for me though, I've decided that over the years I seem to have gotten more keenly aware of when someone is trying to snow me. It is like in some way the men online are hoping they will find someone who will be desperate enough to do almost anything for a date and that includes giving sexual favors. This truly amazes me, it is like they didn't read the tag line that this is an online dating site and they think their on a escort site and browsing through the women online looking to add the next notch in their belt.

Here is one of the craziest profiles that I recently ran across in my local area and this guy actually perused my profile. I will let you be the judge, but this is why Internet dating is so dangerous and definitely shows what kind of low life people are out there online.

All I can say is these people must be totally insane, they not only put this up online but their picture also. I couldn't help but think they must be completely lacking in brain cells, since this is a rural area and both of them must be out of their minds to be advertising for a sex slave. I believe everyone has the right to lead their lives the way they want to, but to have children in that home and advertise for a sex slave is completely wrong. I also believe that it should be reported.
