I replied that I talked to my friends
We raged or we cried or we laughed right out loud
They are there with the click of my pen
I write a few things and they say what they think
Supportive and witty and smart
These internet friends always have the same face
But they open and offer their heart
I read what they write and share my thoughts as well
About lifestyles, religion and pets
It's hard to explain why I care so much
When in fact we have not really met
We converse with each other on multiple sites
About children and parents and clout
Talk of holidays, page views, keywords and such
Hear of struggles, divorce, death and doubt
Internet friends are a strange thing indeed
They are cartoons and road signs and dogs
But their words have such power, their thoughts are so deep
It's like having a real dialogue

This is so true! And only us web writers can relate. :-)
Awesome poem, Langley! Internet friends (including AC friends) are great to have! :)
Wow, you put my feelings into words, and poetically, yet. Isn't it amazing how close we can grow to internet friends? We've never met, but feel that empathy and share our souls, support each other in times of need... you said it all in such a wonderful way!
Very well said, what ever their face may be they have very powerful words, thanks Langley Cornwell
Very sweet!
Love it! Excellent poem about online friendships.
You hit the nail on the head - I have a couple of Internet friends that I'm very close to - but we've never actually met.
Great poem! I love internet friends!
I know I've already commented but I had to come back and say, you're the bestest, lol and I know that's not a word but for this poem I give you a #standingovation hashtag! =)
