If you are new to www.homestarrunner.com, take the tour and meet all of the characters from lisping Homestarrunner to Flower Child Marzipan and depressed Strong Sad (brother of smart ass wrestler Strong Bad). Strong Bad is kind of a mix between Al Pacino as Tony Montana and a Russian wrestler with a wry sense of humor.

Beginners should peruse the Strong Bad email section and read a few emails to get an idea of what the site is about, or else you may not understand their 80's infused/computer dry humor. I highly recommend the emails entitled Dragon, Japanese Cartoon and Rock Opera.

The piece d'résistance of this site, as any fan will tell you, is their cool retro Atari style games from Videlectrix (their sort-of made up software company). Play Trogdor and stomp on peasants, or Peasants Quest (a parody of King's Quest) to reek revenge on Trogdor. If Atari games rock your world, try Strong Bad Zone, but don't let your head asplode. Old-school Nintendo games more your style? Try Stinkoman or Awexome Cross. The sweet graphics and soundtracks to Videlectrix games are second to none on the web.

One of the best things about www.homestarrunner.comis that they are totally innocent and kid friendly. Profanity is kept to a minimum, and even though young kids may not understand a lot of the humor, they can still enjoy watching the cartoons with you. Most likely, they will think that the goofy puppet shows starring Homestarrunner are funny.

This website updates often, so there is always something new, which is probably one of the elements to their success. Check out Strong Bad, Homestar and others, but beware-you may feel like you have found some hilarious cult following.
