Tori did as Dale told her to do and they started sending e-mails back and forth quite frequently, Dale told her how to set up her IM so they could talk in real time and so she did that and they again talked for hours upon hours of time, learning about the hardships of single parenting from one another and how different it was for a male and female to be raising the children. During one of their IM discussions Dale asked her if she would mind if he called her on the phone, he wanted to hear her voice, she said that would be okay and started to give him her phone number, he broke in to tell her that he had her phone number, he had printed out a copy of her profile the first time that they emailed but he hadn't used any of that information since he wanted to get to know her better and give her the chance to get to know him. That night, Dale called Tori and they were on the phone for almost 8 hours, they talked almost the whole night. Tori told her friend what was going on and how things were going but her friend was very scared for her, telling her that she gave out too much information and that she didn't know anything about this guy, he could be anyone and that she needed to be very careful.
Tori didn't listen, she and Dale called each other almost every night and talked for hours, until one night Dale asked her if she would ever consider coming to see him sometime, he lived five states away from her but she was willing to go, she just had to check into vacation time at work and make arrangements for her son to stay with her parents, it would take sometime. About two weeks before she was going to purchase the plane ticket, Dale called her and asked her what she would think of him just packing up his things and moving to where she lived, she was in shock and didn't know what to say, in the short amount of time, approximately three months, that they had been talking she could feel herself opening up to someone that she hadn't done in a long time, not since her husband had left her and she could very easily find herself falling for this guy and never even had seen him. She talked things over with her mom and she decided that it didn't matter that she had never seen this man, she had gotten to know him from the inside out and the outside just didn't matter at this time because she had already lost her heart to him just through their conversations. That night when Dale called her she told him to pack up when he was ready and she would be waiting for him. A few days later, Dale called her and told her that he would be leaving the next day and to expect him in about three or four days, he would be driving with his two boys.
The next day Tori began to prepare her apartment, her son, and her family for what was going to be happening, that Dale was coming to meet her and possibly to stay if all things went well. That night Dale called her and told her he was only about 6 more hours away, he was going to stop and get some sleep then be on his way, he wanted to know if it would be too soon to arrive since he had told her three days, she asked him how he got so far so fast, all he had to say was he couldn't wait to see her with his own two eyes and to wrap his arms around her and actually hug her. Dale had driven non-stop from the time he left his home and was determined to get to her as quickly as he could. This scared Tori but made her feel very good, she knew that even if she wasn't the most beautiful girl in the world, they had really connected and could talk to one another and really listen and hear what the other one was saying. This was something that she had never had with anyone before and she was really looking forward to meeting this "Man of her Dreams". The next day, an older model car pulled up into Tori's driveway, a young boy got out of the car and started walking up to the front door, Tori opened the door and the boy asked her if she was Tori, she said "yes" and he turned around and said "Dad, it's her!" and Dale walked up behind him and looked her right in the eyes and said "You are even more beautiful that I thought you would be!", Tori knew right then, he might be out of his mind and so tired he obviously can't see straight but this was going to be the man she would spend the rest of her life with, he took her in his arms and hugged her and kissed her for the first time. Three months later Dale and Tori were married in a little ceremony with no one present but her parent's and the three children they were now to raise together. Tori had never been so happy in her entire life.
Dale and Tori would live a very adventurous and trial filled life together but they would do it together and come through everything together, still very much in love and never forgetting that first Kiss or that first moment that they met through an unbelievable connection called the internet. Dale lived five full States away and yet Tori found him by reading a story on a bulletin board and taking a chance, neither of them were looking for a relationship just a friend to talk to and that grew by them getting to know each other through the written word instead of by sight. This was a love that grew for two people by getting to know each other without the worry of what the other person looked like or how they looked themselves, there was never any concern of what to wear or how to do her hair, it was just her sitting at the computer reading Dale's words and responding with her heart. This is where love should start and end, never by what the other person looks like but what shines from within.
Internet Romance can be very scary and you must be very wary of who you get involved with and what you say and do but there are nice guys out there, honest guys (and girls for that matter) and the ending can be Happy if you are careful of what you are doing and always be honest with each other in everything that you do, when you are getting to know someone from the inside out, the first thing that you learn is trust and everything in this day and age is built on trust. Where there is trust there is a chance for LOVE.
