Internet Screaming

Donna Cavanagh
The words came flying through my email
Composed of "all caps" - words of anger for sure
I couldn't decide if I should try to play nice

I never imagined that uppercase letters
Could hold such venom and spite
Once reserved for proper nouns and sentence beginnings

Capital vowels and consonants serve a purpose
Their meaning is hard to disguise
My "Caps Lock" key holds such emotional power
No wonder anger management is on the rise

The best thing about internet screaming
Is that we can turn it off with another powerful key
The delete button can be our best friend
And from internet wrath, we are suddenly set free

Nice poem! I like how you use the classic ABA rhyme scheme for a modern, everyday subject- it adds to the humor!
