The whole band: You are welcome.
Steve: We are happy to do it.
MJ's Q1: Okay, let's start with introductions. Starting with the lead singer give your name and position.
A: Bill, lead singer,
Vicki: Hi, I also sing lead and backing vocals.
Mike: I'm the bassist,
Steve: I play lead guitar, and the one who answers the emails,
Marc: and I'm the drummer. (Laughing as they joke and play.)
MJ's Q2: How did you get your band's name?
Steve: The band's name is from a few things that all seemed to point to the name. 1) Bill was 50 at the time, a young 50. 2) He drives a 5.0 Mustang and 3) It's usually the collective blood alcohol level of the band at a gig!
MJ's Q3: Don't forget that there are five of you! I know your band is out of Fort Lauderdale, but where are all of you from?
A: Bill: Pennsylvania,
Vicki: Baltimore,
Mike: Florida (panhandle),
Steve: Milwaukee,
Marc: Lubbock, Texas.
MJ's Q4: Wow, you guys are just from all over the place. You sing/play rock music. What I'm sure all of your future fans would like to know, is what other bands do you think you most sound like?
Steve: We sound a lot like Seven Mary Three, and Live & Pearl Jam, etc.
MJ's Q5: Cool. How long have you guys been a group?
Bill: 8 years
MJ's Q6: Have their been any new members since it's creation?
Bill: Oh yes! More than a few.
MJ's Q7: You have not signed with anyone yet right? Are you looking?
Bill: Sure!
MJ's Q8: Who here is single and who is other wise taken?
Steve: Depends who's asking! Bill & Vicki are married as is Marc, and I think Steve is, too. Mike isn't really married.
MJ's Q9: Do you have a website?
Mike: Yep, we have TWO of them! the5point0band.com and fivepoint0.com. Check 'em out!
MJ's Q10: Where do you see yourselves in 5 years?
Bill & Mike together: Alive, hopefully! And still rockin'
MJ's Q11: What area do you mostly play in?
Bill: Hollywood, Coral Springs, Fort Lauderdale
MJ's Q12: What is your favorite location to play?
Steve: Premier Billiards in Coral Springs. An awesome, big place, with great people there.
MJ's Q13: Have you run into bad crowds? What's the worst thing you have seen from the stage?
Bill: Our music soothes the savage beast.
MJ's Q14: Are you in tour right now?
A: Bill: No, we have day jobs.
Steve: We're touring Coral Springs the end of the month.
Mike: One show only, don't miss it!
MJ's Q15: Your site lists the tour times and things right?
Steve: Yes it does!
MJ's Q16: Is there anything any of you would like to say to your fans and future fans?
A: Bill: Come out to one show and you'll be hooked.
Steve: Bring beer money, too.
Mike: You mean Cuervo money!
MJ's Q17: Do you have any CD's out right now? How many? Where can they be found and bought?
Steve: No, we do 95% covers right now and have not recorded originals or persuaded Aerosmith or Pearl Jam to allow us to re-record their tunes (for free, for sale).
MJ: It has been a pleasure interviewing you guys. It has been very entertaining! Although, I wish I had done this on video, 'cause you guys are hilarious!
Steve: Glad you liked the interview. I do agree that a video would have been better. I should have put it on hidden camera!
MJ: You should go see these guys in concert, you'll have a blast. You can also visit them on MySpace.
