1) In less than 50 words tell me about yourself, your interest, something you want to share..
I live in the Poconos, PA and I am a full-time student at East Stroudsburg University. I'm also a part-time freelance writer.
2) How long have you been a CP at AC? How many articles have you published and how many page views have you received so far?
I have been a CP since December of 2006. I have published 593 articles and have received 438,905 page views.
3) How did you learn about AC? Why did you become involved with AC? Was it for the money? Or something else? For fun maybe?
At the time, I was working for several clients who I learned all had accounts on AC. It looked intriguing, so I tried it out. It was really just for fun, but the money aspect didn't hurt, of course.
4) What do you like to write about and why? What else would you like to write about?.
I like to write about anything and everything. Most of my articles tend to be based on experiences, including my own and the experiences of people around me. When I try to think of topcis, I usually try to choose ones that I know are a little bit bizarre. Even I have no idea what I may do next.
5) What was your first article about? Give us the link so we can check it. Did you write it for free? If not how much did you get paid?
My first article was "How to Pick the Best Dog for You."
Link: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/105721/how_to_pick_the_best_dog_for_you.html
I was paid $8.00 for the article.
6) Do you believe you were treated fairly in your first few articles (meaning approval, money paid, etc)
When I first signed up, all of my articles were paid for. I received between $7.00 to $14.00 for most of them, with a few $5.00 - $6.00 articles here and there. I thought that it was very fair.
7) Have you ever used customer service at AC? What has been your experience?
No, I haven't.
8) What are your objectives here at AC?
My main objective is to simply have fun. There are some really great people on AC, so I would definitely say that the community is what keeps me here. Making some extra cash in the process is also nice. I hope to have a million page views by August, but we'll see what happens.
9) How many times do you check AC? Do you go to AC to find info on how to become a better writer? I check AC a lot. Although I don't really go to AC to find info on how to become a better writer, I do read articles on this topic when I come across them.
10) Overall, will you keep writing for AC or you think you might go for other online writing places?
I have gone to other places online to write and as long as I am a writer, I am sure that I will continue to do that. However, I do really like the AC community and for that reason, I will probably always stay here. It will take something big and horrible if AC wants to get rid of me!
