Kim was born in San Francisco, California and at the age of four she moved to New York City, where she was influenced by various musical sounds of the city. Kim studied piano, dance and voice as a child, and then later received a bachelor degree in Music Performance from Brooklyn College Conservatory and a Master's Degree in Music Therapy from New York University.
The more and more I interacted with Kim; the more and more I saw clearly that she was a Minister of Music and a gift to the Body of Christ. During one of our first ministry meetings together in Norcross, Georgia, I mentioned the fact that I really miss having praise and worship prior to having ministry meetings and Kim offered to bring some music in for our next meeting. I was so excited, because it was so great to meet someone that loved music ministry as much as I did, so I was looking forward to the music ministry and couldn't wait for the next meeting!
The next Ministry class was here and there she was with her instrument and her amplifier. I hadn't actually heard her sing before, so this was a real treat for me. As soon as she opened her mouth I was blessed by the melodic tone that I heard. It was just like breathing for her and that's how you can tell if someone has a gift or a talent. A gift is natural and it's just like talking. However, a talent can be learned or taught, but it's not necessarily natural and without effort. Kim played and sung a wonderful worship song that blessed my soul and it was so touching that I asked her to come to an event I was hosting and sing for us. Kim did not hesitate to get her gear together and come and bless our guest.
Kim is the CEO and Founder of her own music school under the direction of BajanBoy Productions, which has been in business for over six years.
