The hardest part of the set up of the Easy Set swimming pool is finding a perfectly level spot. This is the most important step, because if the location is not level, one side of your pool will not fill properly. There have been people who were dissatisfied with this product because they failed to properly level the ground. If you do not have a level spot, it is easy to level your yard with sand. The Easy Set Swimming Pool does take a few hours to set up properly, so if you are looking for a fifteen minute solution, they are not for you.
The first installation took a little longer than I expected, but we had no problems filling the air ring with a portable air compressor. We attached the pump as instructed and began to fill the pool with water. It did seem to take forever for the inflated ring to begin to move, but it eventually began to rise, and the pool sides along with it. Within a few hours, our new pool was inflated and filled with water.
After two years of ownership, the Easy Set swimming pool has provided us with hours of fun. We have had two children's parties and the pool held up to the use and abuse of ten second graders. At the end of the second year, we did replace the pump, but we seldom used the pool cover, so the pump was used often. Remember to clean your pool, and at summer's end, drain and dry your pool well before storing it for the winter.
Don't let bad reviews or unsatisfied customers scare you away from this great product. The Intex Easy Set Swimming Pool is not meant to be a permanent swimming pool, but for a fun time and easy set up, it is worth the money and time.

Post a CommentWe love our 18x48" Intex pool. We finally found the one spot on our lawn that is level enough to make it fill properly. I need to swim for exercise, and this fits my needs well. My son also uses the pool--we have a great time chatting and playing water sports. We were given an old intex pool last year, and it spouted holes all through the summer, so we were wary about buying another one. However, the new one hasn't had one leak this year, and we're getting ready to drain it for the winter. (I don't think the pool that was given to us was cared for properly.) Our only concern is how to store it--we don't have a garage and our storage shed is full. Looks like we'll have to invest in a back yard storage bin.
we've had intex pools for many years and have always absolutely loved them. we lay foam sheets under the pool like a ground sheet and you'd almost think your walking on a soft sandy beach. try not to have the top ring blown up too full so that birds can't put holes in the ring. surprising how their little nails will pierce holes that your barely able to see but can feel the air escape. the pools are great if you take your time and lots of energy to put them up properly. taking them down is a whole different matter. drying them when there 18 x 48 is quite difficult.
I had a 15' inflateable ring pool once. It was great the 1st year, but the sides stretched and the 2nd year I had a 36" pool instead of a 40" pool. Also, I had trouble with the cover sticking to the inflateable ring and causing a leak when I took it off. I didn't like mine.
