I purchased this toy for my 17 month old little girl after the seam ripped on her old ball pit. I knew that this toy was rather large when I purchased it, measuring approximately 71.5" in diameter and has a height from the floor of 35". I was surprised when I actually got the whole thing blown up just how large it really was. It was so large that all the places in my house that I was going to put it, it wouldn't fit. I actually had to rearrange the furniture in my living room so that I would have a place for it. My advice if you are going to purchase this toy is to make sure you have the room for it. I bought 200 balls to put in it so that she could use it as a ball pit as well as a bouncer. The 200 balls isn't enough to fill it, I could probably buy 400 more and still it wouldn't be full, but who wants to be picking up the balls all day long! This toy did not come with an air pump but I did have the option to purchase one separately, which I chose not to do. My advice is to spend the extra money and buy an air pump for this toy, unless you already have one. I actually thought I was going to blow this thing up on my own until I opened it. I had to use the air pump from my air mattress and it took 45 minutes to inflate it with the pump. I can only imagine how long it would of took if I didn't have the air pump. The toy itself has three different sections to inflate which are numbered. The first is the floor, then the bottom outside ring and last of all the sides and top ring that have the balls in it.
There are only two problems I found with this toy. When I purchased it smelled of plastic for quite a while. Also, there is a space between where the floor and the sides meet where the balls constantly get wedged in it is possible your little ones feet, hands and arms could as well.
There are many good things that I found about this particular toy. The sides are see through so you can see your little one when she is inside which is definitely a good thing. You can flip it over and it turns into a fort. My little one absolutely loves rolling around in all the balls, picking them up and throwing them through the door and over the top at her father and I when we aren't looking at her. She now has learned that she can dive through the door into the pit and it brings a smile to her little face every time. She loves toplay peek-a-boo while she is inside.
The toy itself seems to be holding up very well, the first week or two of having it I had to put air in it 2 times but that was just because of all the use it was getting. She now tries to climb up the sides and flip herself over the top into the pit. The toy does not collapse or flip on its side. Just keep an eye on your little one as they can try things that aren't so safe.
I would definitely purchase another one if I had the room in my house, but it's HUGE!!! It's a great toy and my daughter never gets bored with it. It's definitely worth the money and I have found that it's safe.
