Lay with me here
In this green grass
This open space
Under this lonesome tree
It stands alone and without a friend
Let us take it in
Let us befriend this lonely
In this green grass
This open space
Under this lonesome tree
It stands alone and without a friend
Let us take it in
Let us befriend this lonely
These feet that I have paced with
Anxious from the suit the day has worn on me
Have grown heavy
I step out of my shoes
Barefoot and feeling the soft dirt
Bend beneath the soles of my feet
Enjoying the way it gives and surrenders to the weight of my body
I shift and glide through
Onto the green grass and
Into the the light
