Who holds me when I'm broken...God
Who created beauty worth beholding...God
Who compels this deck of cards to stand when it feels like folding...God
Who makes sense of this corrupted system?
Who tells you to treat the cause not the symptom?
Who is the creator of sound and the author of rhythm?
Who encourages me to welcome my brother when the world won't forgive him?
Who tunes in to my heart strings when no one else will listen?
Who told us to love one another and gave us the great commission?
Who gives the peace of mind that surpasses all worldly wisdom?
Who calms the storm in my mind and makes this life worth living?
Who has given me infinite solutions in this world to finite problems...God
And when I feel like I'm drowning in a see of questions, He's always there to solve them.
God is love
God is love
God is love
And poetically...
Love is potential poetry turned kinetic flow in me
The absence of ambient noise, just us in silence's beauty
The forgetting about you, the forgetting about me, there's just we
Love is enduring. selflessness, humbling humility
Love is a writer's block
Something upon which to build
Love is walking down the street holding hands whispering sweet nothings of promises yet to be
A sweet ambrosia that has me floating a reflection of life's true symmetry
A weight worth caring because thoughts of your one true love weigh on your mind endlessly
Love isn't about keeping score because points don't count
It's like bringing you a hot mocha latte on a cold winter's day
It's like a single look that makes your whole world feel okay
Holding you tight because there's nothing left to say
Unexplainable at times to those who understand love's ways
A crescendo of whispers cascading through my soul unchained melodies
Of rhythmic tunes of "I Love You's"
No longer held captive to loneliness
In the court of love I must digress
The hearts silent rebellion against the minds insecure protests
It's like your soul dancing when your heart doesn't know the steps
It's feeling like a million bucks when the world says you've got nothing left
Love is the conception of maybes and the birth of infinite possibilities
Love is going on a journey without a map
A departure of reason
Leaving the train station not knowing your destination
Wearing love's sweater no matter the season
Love is giving all I have when I have nothing
Love is forgiveness
Love is a crucifixion of sins
Letting go of past transgressions
Hindsight is 20/20 and love is learning life's lessons
Love is the crutch on which we stand
Love is the tie that binds us every women and every man
Love is the knot of not letting go
Love is the time and dedication of written pages on histories books
Writing new chapters on your pages of history
Not necessarily a fairytale ending
Because love never ends
What if love is like a tree?
A tree deeply rooted
Reaching towards the sun so it can grow
When the storms come and the winds blow
We won't be moved
Deeply rooted in the immovable grounds of love
Love is like the first glimpse of you in the corner of my eye
Making way for the invasion of butterflies
But butterflies don't make me move
In blossoms bloom flowers extend their boundaries like my love does for you
April showers brings May flowers so may I take this opportunity to share all the way's that love blooms
My ways to say I love you
As countless as the stars
Like forgiveness seventy times seven
The band aid to all of life's little scars
The spans between to scared hands
Was the realization that forgiveness was the only true hope for man
From one scared hand to the other
As far as the east is from the west
Is where His love lies and our transgressions are put to rest
My true belief is that to be loved is to be blessed
Who God loves no mortal man can dare come test
So if being loved means to be God's possession
So if being loved means to be God's possession
Then let me be possessed
