Introducing.

Gregory P. Johnson
Greetings. I would like to take a moment of your time to introduce you to a new Associated Content writer. This person has just published her first article here on AC, and it is a good one. Of course, I might be a little biased as she also happens to be my wife.

A Quick Introduction

In February of 2007, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Due to the symptoms, I have been unable to work a regular job since September of 2006. This was particularly difficult on us as I was earning a decent income while she stayed home with our daughters. Years ago, we decided to homeschool the girls and Rae was (and is) primarily responsible for the teaching. As a result of my disability, her role needed to change dramatically. Essentially, instead of being the primary caretaker for our daughters, she became the only caretaker for all of us.

Not wanting her to shoulder our entire financial burden, I sought ways to earn a little extra money on the internet - things that I could do from home. I have found several pathways to do that very thing. One of those pathways, as you may have already guessed, includes writing articles for Associated Content.

In order for us to continue homeschooling the girls, Rae took a job working nights. Currently, she works as an 'Awake Night Counselor' for a group home. I suggested that she might occupy some of her time between her rounds by doing some writing as well.

And the Verdict Is...

I am pleased to announce that her first article has just been published!

She cannot access the internet at work due to company policy, so she has written several articles on paper. As well, due to all of her responsibilities here at home, she doesn't get a whole lot of time to sit on the computer. As a result, I have the distinct honor of serving as her editor. In this case, that simply means that I get to take her articles, log on to her account, and submit her articles for her. OK, so I do a little proof-reading in th process, but otherwise the work is hers.

Please head on over and take a look at her first article - subscribe if you like, comment if you would, but please give her a warm welcome to Associated Content!

What a lovely introduction! Keep your faith because one of my best friend's is 54 and everyone's ms story is different. Stay positive becaus she is still beating the odds trying to hide the symptoms and the pain that she can. Sometimes she will become unsteady and she has fainted before but she's doing okay. She has had to deal with it for a very long time. Everyone should try the MS meetings even if it is just to hear what other doctors are doing. After the meetings get depressing you then have to join AA. (just kidding) Good luck on your difficult journey.

Blessings to your family, Greg! Rae did a great job on her first article, and she sounds like a wonderful woman, wife and mother as well. :)

Hmm... the family that writes together....
Fights together? No, that can't be right!

But, I look forward to another good writer in the community.
