Introducing Josh Hurt: Texas Urban Pop Artist Ready to Make Mark on the Music World

Josh Hurt is a talented singer from Arlington , Texas. In an e-mail to me he described himself as "an Urban Pop Artist." Josh who is in his young twenties has been singing since he was five and has no plans to stop anytime soon. He is a creator of pop songs you can dance to and he is looking to land a major record deal.

Josh Hurt has a growing following of fans. His MySpace page has more than 1500 friends; over 1400 followers on Twitter, 2700 friends on Facebook and on YouTube he has more than 4000 fans. Josh is hoping to increase his following in 2011. Hurt's first single was release in 2009 called "Open the Door" you can watch the video here. His second single "Midnight Racer" is having more success. The song was released in 2010 and you can watch the video here. The listener can hear how Hurt's music has improved between the two songs. The videos showcases Josh's dance moves as well.

Josh Hurt is working on an EP and a record deal. Hurt would love to release an album on a major label with his love for music backing up the statement. Josh was kind enough to let me listen to a brand new song titled "I Know What Love Is." The song shows the improvement from "Open the Door" and is different from "Midnight Racer" to show some artistic diversity. His future is bright. He continues to create new songs and videos. He is putting together projects to spotlight his music. Josh Hurt is chasing his musical dream. If his musical career should falter Josh is working on a backup plan. Turner is a student at the University of North Texas where he studying Economics and Financial Planning.

Josh has opened for such artists as Angie Stone, Jazmine Sullivan, Omarion and Bobby Valentino. Carlos Santana has recommended Hurt. His music has been played on local radio stations to satellite radio stations, and the BBC. His successes in the past are foreshadowing the greater successes to come in the future for Josh Hurt.
