Introducing the Next Big Thing in Music~The Band Perry
They Are Sure to Find Massive Success in Music!
The Band Perry consists of siblings Kimberly, Neil, and Reid Perry.
Growing up in Mobile, Alabama they played in different bands, and together at home. They listened to The Rolling Stones, Hank Williams, and Bobbie Gentry. They knew eventually they would take the stage together, and often created three-part harmony.
At 15, Kimberly was playing guitar and fronting her own band. Reid was just 10, and Neil was 8 when their sister recruited them as her roadies. The brothers eventually formed their own band and opened for their sister's band.
They came together as one band in 2005, after years of writing and playing together. That same year The Band Perry was invited to open for a "New Faces of Country" Tour, sponsored by Coca-Cola.
By 2008, they met with Bob Doyle, Garth Brooks manager, and began to formulate their songs. The band spent the rest of the year writing and perfecting their sound. They went on to impress the President of Republic Nashville, and signed with the new label in 2009.
Nominated for "Vocal Group of the Year" at the 44Th Annual CMA Awards. This marks their first nomination for a national music award.
Their biggest single to date is "If I Die Young" from their self-titled album. The hit single registered as #27 on the Billboard charts, and sold more than 40,000 downloads per week. The song was written by the band. Their first single to be released was "Hip To My Heart", and the song registered as a top twenty hit.
This fall, the band will be on tour with legendary country music artist, Alan Jackson. They have opened for artists like Keith Urban, Brooks & Dunn, and Zac Brown Band.
And this is just the beginning for The Band Perry. If you haven't already heard their music, check them out. They are very impressive and I predict big success and nation-wide fame for the soon-to-be famous siblings.
