Introducing Viewpoints

Everybody has a point of view, unique unto themselves. Do you ever wonder just how different yours is? I do. That's why I wanted to do the viewpoints articles. So we can all see what the world is thinking.

I've always thought it was interesting how differently people feel about things. Where we come from, how we were raised, and our age, among other variables, all play a part in how we see the world. Wouldn't you like to know what other people think? How they feel about a certain subject? On what side they stand in a debate? In these viewpoint articles you'll find the answers to all those questions and more.

Each article will be about a particular topic. The panel members will give their viewpoint, or opinion, on the subject and we'll get to see just how different they are. It's sure to be interesting!

The panel members are from varying backgrounds, range in age from their 20s to 50s, live in different parts of the country, and have different interests and careers. There is a minister in the bunch, a published author, an Army wife, a female business owner with a BS in Chemical Engineering, a young mother who will soon be adopting a child from Ethiopia, a self employed animal lover, a reporter, and a guy who is into chess and off-road activities (that's unique enough for an article all by itself).

There are bound to be widely different viewpoints from this group of people. Hopefully you'll find one that you like and agree with. If not, maybe they'll at least make you think. Sometimes hearing about a different point of view makes us take a second look at things. I believe this is good. It's never too late to learn and grow. Being open to different opinions gives us the opportunity to expand our thinking, make new friends, and maybe, just maybe, learn to accept people that are different.

Some of the topics will be serious subjects that need to be talked about, and others will be things that I'm just curious about. There is no end to the topics we can cover and things we can learn from each other. If you have a topic you'd like discussed, send me a message and I'll see if I can cover it.
