Finally, after more than four weeks of grueling auditions, interviews, acting challenges and hard-hitting criticism from well-known soap stars such as Kelly Hensley (Emily), Martha Byrne (Lily), Elizabeth Hubbard (Lucinda) and others, soap opera fans of As the World Turns voted for aspiring actor Ryan Serhant to join the As the World Turns cast.
InTurn took five girls and four guys to New York City; there the nine aspiring actors and actresses lived together as roommates. Not only did the nine of them have to tolerate each other under the same roof, but also they had to compete against one another to win a 13 week contract role on As the World Turns, a CBS daytime soap opera. InTurn first aired on CBS's Innertube last summer, and 18-year-old Alex Charak from Roslyn Heights, NY. won the first season of InTurn. Not only did Alex Charak win the first season, but after his 13 week contract ended, As the World Turns liked him so much that they asked him to continue playing Elwood Hoffman as a recurring role, which he was thrilled to accept. Therefore, Alex Charak is living proof that InTurn can lead to better things, so who knows what's in store for Ryan Serhant.
In May of 2006, 22-year-old Ryan Serhant graduated from Hamilton College with a BA in Theatre and English Literature. Before season two of InTurn, Ryan starred in theatre, film and television. Some of his appearances include The Imp of Edgar Allan Poe, The Editor, The Delivery, Discovery's Most Evil and many others. As for soap opera experience, Ryan Serhant played a recurring role on All My Children.
Tune into As the World Turns on November 7 when InTurn winner Ryan Serhant makes his debut appearance as Evan Walsh IV, a hotshot biochemist with a proposition for Craig (played by Scott Bryce). Although Ryan Serhant's debut on As the World Turns isn't until November 7, taping will begin on September 24. The last actor to play the role of Evan Walsh IV was Greg Watkins.
