Keywords are the most important part of writing for the web. Writing for the web requires keywords. To find an article you have written for the web search engines use keywords to determine placement on results pages. Of course when writing for the web, factors other than keywords are taken into consideration, but keywords remain the most important tool for writing on the web available to writers on the web interested in using keywords to promote their writing for the web.

Recently I was reading some writing on the web, this site in particular, and came across a number of articles written for the web that were so heavily keyworded that it got me to thinking - in my own writing for the web I should use keywords the way these authors did. I should replace every original thought and pronoun with a keyword. Using keywords should help my writing for the web, shouldn't it? After all keywords are important. Keywords are good. Keywords make writing for the web more focused, easier to find, and much more entertaining to read.... Don't they (i.e. keywords)?

Keywords are easy to use when writing for the web. Just remember if you use keywords in a clever way, it's virtually impossible for spot keywords. They (keywords) don't stand out at all when keywords are properly utilized.

Besides no one really reads writing for the web that doesn't have keywords; after all, how could anyone find an article written for the web that doesn't properly utilize keywords?

    Just came in to comment on the excellent selection on the accompanying picture Although I'm pretty well-versed on kw,kw density, lsi, etc., since it's you, gonna give it a read since you know what you're talking about.

    Thanks Zac. As far as keyword density -- I don't know. I don't check it. This was just a rant of sorts after reading several AC articles so chock full of keywords that I simply couldn't continue reading -- some of which were my own.

    Thanks Sundance. By the way, please note that tip one should read -- "virtually impossible for someone to spot keywords." Also, leaving out necessary words is a great way to boost keyword density.

    Good job Will! What was the density? Since the internet will be replacing other sources of information in the not too distant future, I'd be interested to know if you think the complete dumbing down of America is nearly complete. Will those among us who are followers be finally trained like Pavlov's dogs when they hear the keyword? Will the pronoun cease to exist because we simply don't need it? I'm scared! Nice way to make a point.
