Inventors Business Center Canada brings entrepreneurial dreams to life

Kevin Harrington, star of ABC's "Shark Tank," has scored again with his launch of the Inventors Business Center Canada (IBC), located in Toronto, Ontario. Inspired by the TV programs "Shark Tank" and "Dragons' Den," the center will help Canadians to realize their dreams of bringing their inventions to life.

Harrington and co-founder Steven Page have created a team at IBC that will take ideas from the drafting table and send them out the door to consumers' homes. Without the help of the center many of the best innovations would be left floundering in the round file.

The center's aim is to promote Canadian entrepreneurs and inventors with their direct-to-market consumer products. The IBC team's proven track record and business plan implementations get inventors' gadgets to market quickly, before consumer trends turn.

"We are a gateway for entrepreneurs and inventors, here to assist them with taking their idea or their products to market via infomercial, TV shopping channels and retail," Page says. "Depending on the product and the exact opportunity, our level of involvement will differ from project to project. We can assist with actual prototype developing, patents, etc."

This is exciting news for inventors who could use a nudge in the right direction.

Business strengths and needs may be different depending on the business owner's background. Page explains the different types of support available to each entrepreneur: "Prototype development, distribution strategy (what channel is best), manufacturing advice, creative development, rollout and implementation of strategy. We can take the product from an idea to full distribution."

IBC's latest innovation is the new Zoomer online shopping channel, created especially for baby boomers ages 45 and older, offering a wide variety of products to spark their interest. With Zoomer, consumers will be able to watch live-stream video about products, guided by online demonstrators.

Harrington has been instrumental in financing more than 500 products, and of those, more than 20 have individually resulted in sales exceeding $100 million, creating multi-millionaires. Page has more than 23 years of entrepreneurial experience and has brought celebrity brands, including Suzanne Somers, to the Canadian shopping channel marketplace.

"We look forward to having a huge impact in Canada and assisting many inventors and entrepreneurs in making their dreams a reality," Page says.
