These vehicles are constructed with a V-shaped hull designed to deflect the blasts of land mines and roadside bombs away from the vehicle and protect the bodies inside. As modern warfare continues to evolve, there is an ever increasing, critical need for technology that can protect against emerging threats. We need this protection. And although many MRAPs have already been provided to our troops, we need a far greater number of them.
Welcome to Force Protection, Inc. (FRPT on the Nasdaq exchange). This company, based in Charleston, South Carolina, is the world's leading manufacturer of ballistic- and blast-protected vehicles. They have been in production for several years and have supplied our armed forces with many vehicles already, but are just now becoming more widely known. Congress, despite being anti-war, is now pushing hard to get more and more of these vehicles to our troops as quickly as possible. Every day, a new article seems to appear in a major pulication or on television. As awareness grows in the public about the life-saving capabilities of these vehicles, the public will cry out causing even more demand. Force Protection produces the technology that provides the protection to meet this demand. It saves lives. Already, the stock is steadily creeping upward. At under twenty dollars a share, the stock seems to be, for now, undervalued.
Recently, Force Protection announced year end earnings that far exceeded even the most optimistic of estimates. They also recently announced plans for expansion in order to meet the demand for more vehicles. The estimates for 2007 are for four hundred vehicles to be produced per month, up from fifty vehicles in 2006. I believe the trend will continue, making Force Protection a very wise and lucrative investment. This is an investment that could change all of our lives. Regardless of our stand on the war, democrats and republicans both agree about these vehicles, and they will be ordered.
This is why I have chosen to invest my money in Force Protection, and why I think others should too. By putting our faith in this company, we also invest in the futures of our men and women at war. And that is worth investing in!
