Invitation: Naomi Wilzig to Be Invested with Doctorate by the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality

Art as a form of expression has always been subjective to the individual human eye. What one may find as a masterpiece another person may consider abstract or dull. This is true especially when it comes to the world of Erotic Art. Many people consider such pieces as pornographic yet when asked about the origin of a statue or painting they may have no idea that it is centuries old and timeless. What Naomi Wilzig has single-handedly done with her World Erotic Art Museum is bring an art form as old as time to the forefront as a legitimate honest expression.

Coinciding with the 6^th Anniversary of the World Erotic Art Museum on Sunday, October 16, at 4 P.M., owner/curator Naomi Wilzig will be formally invested with the degree of Honor's Causa Doctor of the Art in Erotology and Sexuality by the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality. The Institute is considered the "Harvard" of human sexology study. Offering five graduate degrees and five vocational certificate programs for people wishing academic training in human sexuality. Graduates of the Institute are employed in a variety of fields including medicine and nursing, social work, counseling and therapy, research, the clergy, and positions in humanities. Though she has been a frequent guest speaker at a variety of organizations ranging from university classes to religious organizations, in her new role Dr. Wilzig will now be afforded the opportunity to teach and formally share the academic knowledge she has gathered through 20 years of cataloguing and collecting.

Naomi Wilzig's The World Erotic Art Museum has within its walls 12,000 square feet including colorful rooms that house her personal collection of erotica that includes 4000 tapestries, paintings, sculptures and a variety of other objects from the Roman Empire to the 1970s.

The World Erotic Art Museum is open Monday-Thursday 11 AM-10 PM; Friday, Sat 11 AM to Midnight. Tickets to the reception are $15. All proceeds directed to the Interdisciplinary Stem Cell Institute (SCI) of the U. of Miami Miller School Of Medicine. No one under 18 admitted.
