If you have ordered the Apple iPad 3G online, you will be happy to know that it should be in your hands tomorrow.
A call to the Apple store today revealed that the new Apple iPad with 3G wireless will be available in stores starting at 5p.m. tomorrow night. Customers who pre-ordered the 3G iPad will see the status of their order change from pending, to shipped, and will receive a tracking number sometime today.
The iPad is shipping overnight, and providing that there are no unforeseen events (volcano)(blizzard)(earth turns into a meatball), they will be delivered to your doorstep sometime tomorrow.
At the very least, I think that you should call in sick to make sure that you get your iPad on time. How horrible would it be to have to sign for the device and wait and extra day for it to be delivered? I can't even contemplate the horror.
Now, it may sound as though like I am being sarcastic but I'm not. I have a slightly used iPad Wi-Fi version heading my way, and I can't seem to get a tracking number on that from my friend! Can't wait another day! I think that there needs to be an i-intervention developed in the near future.
If you are not eagerly awaiting an iPad, 3G or Wi-Fi, you should take a look at them. They are amazing!
The iPad comes in two models: Wi-Fi and 3G. The Wi-Fi iPad models can access the internet anywhere you have wireless internet access. The 3G iPad models require you to purchase a data plan ($14.99 or $29.99 per month) and allow internet access anywhere, like a cell phone does. The iPad data plan is not a contract. You just pay month to month, and can switch back and forth between price points to meet your needs.
