Ever wanted to devastate humanity with a massive worm monster? Now you can with Super MegaWorm for the iOS on the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Check out this sweet game app today on Apple iTunes for only $0.99!

Earth has been ravaged for centuries by humans. Pollution, greed, war have made planet Earth a shell of its former self. Finally, Mother Earth unleashes her "final defense", a massive worm called Wojira. This is the setting and storyline for MegaWorm.

Graphics are super retro, 2D pixel art and while this may turn some people off, I love it! It's clear the company has some skilled artists on hand to do this much old school sprite and tile work, and still make it look good. The worm, Wojira, moves with satisfying ease and all the animations look top-notch.

It should be noted that this is most definitely not a game for small children. Super MegaWorm is loaded with huge blood splatters, intense violence and more. Your worm is basically tasked with killing and eating as many humans and animals as possible. As a result, you will be chasing down fleeing civilians, crushing police cars, eating livestock (mostly random cows), all with large fountains of blood - pixalated, of course.

It can be a little hard to pick up the basics of Super MegaWorm, but with practice you should be able to get the hang of it. Basically, you need to use combinations of the directional pad and well-timed 'bursts' to attack enemies, constantly feeding to avoid death by starvation (I guess this worm has a Super metabolism as well?). Always try to burrow underground, as much as possible, to avoid getting hit by helicopters and other weapons. Also, burrowing underground allows you to travel faster. I like to keep the worm just under the surface, traveling at max speed.

The game plays as one continuous level, or at least it does for how I've gotten in it. You complete certain objectives (i.e. eat 20 humans) then advance to a new level, gaining new attacks and growing longer. However, newer "levels" feature more advanced enemies, making surviving pretty tough. You will need speed, wits and tricky attacks to defeat the more dangerous enemies, while avoiding their bombs, missiles and guns.

Super MegaWorm is the most fun I have had on my ipod Touch in a long time. I definitely recommend checking it out today! It's currently
