iPhone Complaints: Why I Hate My iPhone

Amy Wood
I'm the proud owner of an iPhone. No, I should rephrase, I was the proud owner of an iPhone, because I'm not so proud anymore. Hate is a strong word, but I freaking dislike my iPhone sometimes. I still love how it looks, though.

I text a lot. If you do too, and own an iPhone, you know what I mean. The keyboard is awful. The keys are too small, and I can't enlarge the keys by rotating the iPhone, it just makes the keyboard wider. Predictive typing is in theory a neat idea, however, it does come up with some strange words.

Yes, the inbuilt iPod is great; then again, my old mobile had a music player, too. Plus, I already have an iPod nano, but that's not the iPhone's fault...

Does your iPhone drop calls? Mine does. Maybe it's just me, though. The problem with dropped calls might be the carrier not the iPhone. But I never had so many "Network Failure," with my Blackberry.

I DO NOT LIKE iTunes! (Sorry for the shouting.)
I do not like iTunes, because it's slow and unstable. But it's the only way to transfer movies, photos, music and whatnot to my iPhone. I wish Apple would allow third party software on the iPhone.

And, I can't use my Bluetooth headphones with my iPhone. That is actually the top complaint I hear from friends who also own an iPhone.

The 2 megapixel camera on the iPhone is actually quite all right. I use the camera often, no complaints, apart that the camera has no zoom function, and no flash. Furthermore, when I email a picture from my iPhone, it always sends a low-res version of the original, a tiny 640x480 version.

On the upside, my iPhone is like a little computer in my pocket. I'm probably in a love/hate relationship with my iPhone. It's the coolest, most beautiful gadget I own. If the iPhone 2 is released, I'll be sorely tempted.

For me I think only one which makes me feel comfortable gadget, easy to go, worryless of battery, fast email and IM, exellent picture viewer all in one, just like a small PC inserted in my packet, and there's no other one. only Blacberry.

Well, count me as a person who returned the I phone.
I am a big mac fan and I have a mac pc at home.

For about the last 4 years I have carried a blackberry and an ipod. I used the Blackberry for phone and the ipod for music.

Well this year I got an iphone for christmas and i thought. "yippee, this is terrific, One device that satisfies both needs". Well I returned it today and exchanged it for a Blackberry curve.

for me, I could not use the keyboard as fast. I am a lady with manicured nails and I found that causes an issue using the touch screen.

also, i discovered there was no copy and paste on the email and this is a big problem for me to use in business. Once I actually started to try to use it to communicate with clients, I realized it just couldn't compare to a blackberry and everything was SLOWER. checking email every 15 minutes was not working and for some reason in my area, it was taking longer than 15 minutes, sometimes 45.

Also, the web browser would just rand

I completely agree. It's the keyboard that hurts the iphone the most. It's great for everything else, but entering text is slow compared to just about any other phone with a keyboard.

The lack of an AIM client is the second thing that hurts it.
