We received our iPod Nano as a prize in a digital backpack when we called in to our local radio station OROCK 105.9 in the Orlando Florida Area. Our iPod Nano is silver and has 2GB of space.
One of the best things about our iPod Nano is the fact that it can hold up to 500 to 2,000 songs in 128-Kbps AAC format. My husband is a musician and produces his own music. He has many versions of his songs on the iPod and still has tons of room to have the rest of his iTunes Library on the iPod Nano too.
The iPod Nano, when attached to a computer, automatically updates to the songs in your iTunes, When the iPod is attached to your computer, the connection also charges your iPod Nano with no other cables needed. After being charged, an IPod can hold its charge for up to 24 hours!! Ours normally does stay charged for 24 hours or more, depending on how much it is used.
When you purchase an iPod Nano from Apple, you get a 1 year manufactures warranty on the piece of equipment. A consumer can purchase an extended warranty on the iPod Nano for additional years longer than the manufacturer's warranty.
We actually had to take advantage of the manufacturers warranty on our iPod Nano just last week. After plugging in the iPod to our Apple Macintosh G4 laptop, we got the dreaded black apple screen. My husband promptly called Apple with the issues. He was walked thru resetting the device and all the other troubleshooting procedures. None of the troubleshooting procedures were successful in fixing our iPod. The representative promptly sent out a return kit and gave him instructions on how to send it in. The next day DHL was at our door with the return kit in hand. We packed up the iPod and sent it back to Apple. About a week later, we received another package from DHL. This time the package included our iPod, well an IPOD. Apple could not fix the iPod so they sent us a brand new iPod Nano to replace our old one.
All in all, the iPod Nano has been a life saver for our family. We have an adapter in the car and when the kids want to listen to a specific song, it is just a few clicks away. We are impressed with the product itself, and also the customer support that stands behind the 1 year manufactures warranty in such days that no manufacturer that wants to fix an item no matter if it is their fault.
