Experts concur that the weapon's trail began at the Iran's Revolutionary Guards Quds Force. The Iran's Revolutionary Guards Qud Force is also blamed for arming the Hezbollah guerilla army in Lebanon. Lebanon is the place that the EFP weapon was first tested.
During the past few weeks, U.S. officials have been working to put together a package that would back the White House claims of Iran supporting the Iraqi militants fight with U.S. forces. In the past, some critics have condemned the Bush administration of altering the facts or just making them up, a charge that was found to be true when there was no weapons of mass destruction was found in the suspected country. Bush critics argue that this 'package of proof' is nothing more than a paid tribute to the desires of the White House.
Despite much evidence, the military in Baghdad vehemently denies that there is any new Iranian weapons behind the attack of helicopters or U.S. soldiers. There has been four of the five military helicopters shot down in the last month, as well as two private security helicopters. Previously, the Iraqi militants have not had the right weapons or the right strategy to cause much harm to the expensive, high-tech, military helicopters. U.S. officials stated that the Iran's Revolutionary Guards Quds Force report directly to the Iran leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. If this is so, the Iran could be stoking the fires in Iraq so that the war stays in Iraq.
The United States military has been authorized to kill Iranian agents in Iraq as a way to stop their influence. The chances of Iran being the next country attacked by United States forces is high. In fact, the 'package' that proves Iran is helping the Iraqi militants could become the 'package' that proves Iran needs U.S. forces in order to save the globe from terrorism.
