Where did he come from, and just who is this thug in presidential clothing? Ahmadinejad was born in a small village of Garmsar in 1956, to a working class family with 7 children. Mahmoud was the 4th child. His blacksmith father moved the family to Tehran soon after his birth. The children grew up in an extremely tough Tehranian neighborhood, where the poverty and a xenophobic fear of anything outside their world, helped breed a radicalism born of despair and rage.
In 1975, he entered the Elm-O-Salaat University, to begin studies in engineering. But the fanatical Ayatollah Khomeini soon diverted him from classes to the training grounds of terror. After the Revolution, Mahmoud quickly became a student leader of the Islamic Students Association, an ultra-conservative and very radical group of young men. In 1979, he became a representative of the Unity Between Universities and the Theological Seminaries. These steps led him inexorably down the path of terrorist extremism, and hardened his view of the West.
This alliance between the University and the Theological Seminaries, soon became known as the OSU. Khomeini's top aide Ayatollah Mohammad Beheshti organized the students in opposition to the popular Mojahedin -e Khalq or MEK. The OSU was central to the planning and carrying out of the assault and seizure of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, November 1979. 52 Americans were held for 444 days. Ayatollah Khomeini regularly held audiences with members of the OSU, including Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The Ayatollah who was sponsoring and training a group-the IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corp), along with Arafats PLO, to mount attacks on Western interests, particularly the United States.
1980 saw a major crackdown on dissidents, which Ahmadinejad took part in. Now working in Internal Security, he became known for his cruel and prolonged interrogations and torture of prisoners. The state-run website revealed that Mahmoud was an executioner at the Evin Prison. Thousands of them were executed during this time.
By 1986, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was a senior officer in the Special Brigades of the Revolutionary Army, stationed in Ramazin Garrison, an area that dedicated itself to operations on foreign soil-in other words, terrorist ops. When an elite unit named Qods (Jerusalem Unit), he was one of Qods senior commanders. According to Iran Focus "He was the mastermind of a series of assassinations in the Middle East and Europe, including the assassination of Iranian Kurdish leader Abdorrahman Qassemlou, who was shot dead by senior officers of the Revolutionary Guards in a Vienna flat in July 1989. Ahmadinejad was a key planner of the attack, according to sources in the Revolutionary Guards"
This is an extremely dangerous regime, led by a seasoned terrorist who wants to destroy the United States. He, along with bin Laden, want an Islamic Caliphate established across the globe. There is ample evidence that this regime is furnishing the Iraqi insurgency with newer and more lethal weapons to keep the region destabilized, and that they are much much closer to possessing at least dirty bombs than anyone of us should be comfortable with. "ABC News: U.S. military and intelligence officials tell ABC News that they have caught shipments of deadly new bombs at the Iran-Iraq border."
If anything positive has come out of Iraq and this war, other than ridding the country of Hussein, it is the unmasking of Iran as the major force behind most of the current terroristic acts being perpetrated across the globe.
Keep in mind the Iran defector who has disclosed not only the names but the actual sites of 20 major terror training camps inside Iran, and even the details concerning the training. In case there is any doubt here is the list furnished by the defector to Iran Focus: The list of the bases used for training terrorists identified for Iran Focus are as follows:

There is no room in the United States for complacency in this. More than one seasoned author/investigator, like Steve Emerson has written about the deeply entrenched networks in place here, funded by Iran. We need to act swiftly to topple this regime. Sanctions or diplomacy will not work against an enemy so dedicated to our destruction. There is an old saying "Strike off the head of the snake and the body dies" At the very least it will send a strong message that we will take down any regime that threatens our way of life.
Originally, as my readers know, I was against U.S. Intervention in Iran, but after intensive research I've come to believe we must act and swiftly to prevent another 9-11. We cannot afford anything less, or we all lose.

Post a CommentThank you Lv. I think this man is a very dangerously unstable individual. Terrorism experts meeting at the behest of ForeignPolicy.com rank him number one in threat assessment. Kim Jong Il of North Korea is number two, though many think he's more willing to accept a rapprochement from the US. But Ahmadinejad is a wolf and needs eliminating.
