Irene Kho Should Have Remained Silent

Irene Kho, the mother of celebrated notorious doctor, Hayden Kho, came out on national television and answered inquiries about the sex scandals involving her celebrity son.

But in the end, instead of helping her son, her interview has brought Hayden down. She, of course, defended Hayden, putting most of the blame on Katrina Halili--the most famous among Hayden's sexual partners--but in the end, the public just hated Hayden all the more.

Mrs. Kho also mentioned that Katrina is the responsible for giving drugs to her son and with that, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has now expressed intent to look into a possible drug case against Hayden. The poor mother, without her knowing it, has dragged her son down into a deeper mess.

It can be remember that Hayden first caught people's attention when he and Dr. Vicki Belo admitted their relationship to the public. Then early this year, the two doctors parted ways in a well-publicized way. The rumored third party was Katrina Halili, which the latter vehemently denied. Eventually though, the sex videos surfaced and now the lives of Hayden, Dr. Belo, Katrina, and the other women have been turned upside down. Thanks to Katrina's popularity, the other doctor involved, Dr. Maricar Reyes, has not been assaulted by the media much, although I believe that she is keeping her face away from her circle already.

Anyway, going back to Mrs. Kho, she should just have kept her mouth shut. Although as a mother, I cannot blame her for standing up for her son (for honestly, who else will?), but in the end, her coming out just made matters worse for Hayden. Now, they are in a deeper mess.

So much have happened in the Kho household already. I cannot imagine the pain and the pressure in their home. Being a parent myself, I could not imagine how my heart would be crushed. The issue may just die down eventually, but it will always be remembered.
