How to Open a Photo in Irfan View
Opening a photo is simple. Go to the top of your window and click File > Open. When the window opens, locate the file that you want to open, click the file and click the Open button. That will open your photo in the window.
How to Resize your Photo in Irfan View
Go to the top of your window and click Image > Resize/Resample Image. The Resize/Resample Image window will open. There are different ways to resize your image. Select the way that you want to resize it.
How to Add Rain Drops to a Photo in Irfan View
This program makes it so easy to add effects to your photo. Open the photo that you want to add rain drops to. Then go to the top of your window and click Image > Effects > Rain Drops. To add more rain drops click Image > Effects > Rain Drops again. Repeat this step to add more rain drops.
How to Sharpen your Photo in Irfan View
Open the photo that you want to sharpen. Then go to the top of your window and click Image > Sharpen. That will sharpen your photo. To make it sharper click Image > Sharpen again. You can also press SHIFT S on your keyboard to sharpen the photo.
How to Add Text to your Photo in Irfan View
Hold your left mouse button down and draw a box on the photo where you want to add the text. Then go to the top of the window and click Edit > Insert Text into Selection. That will open the text box. Type what you want in the text field. Click the Choose Font button to change the font style, color, and size. Then click the OK button to add the text to your photo. To undo the text click Edit > Undo or press CTRL Z on your keyboard.
How to Turn a Color Photo into a Black and White Photo in Irfan View
Open the photo that you want to turn into a black and white photo. Then go to the top of your window and click Image > Convert to Grayscale. That will turn your photo gray. You may want to adjust the darkness. If so, go to the top of your window and click Image > Enhance Colors. When the box comes up, move the bars to get the black and white look that you want.
How to Set your Photo as Wallpaper in Irfan View
Open the photo that you want to use. Add any effects that you want to the photo. Then go to the top of your window and click Options > Set as Wallpaper > and how you want it set.

Post a CommentEvery time I batch resize it turns them into black and whites. I do not have "convert to gray scale checked" It looks color in the thumbnail then when I click on it, it goes to grayscale. Help!!
Difficult to imagine where you found the time to do all this! I can honestly say that I've never seen such a wide array of mini-tutes. Well done!
