Iris Poem

Sandy James
Iris is a tall stately plant;
Rhizomes should be divided every few years.
Iris in Greek means 'rainbow' for all their colors;
Spring and early summer they bloom.

    Nature is so welcoming and just there for us to enjoy in all its varieties. Nice poem, Sandy - siva

    Nice. This is my first day trying to sit up and read some since the bronchitis flattened me nearly 2 weeks ago. I'm so sorry to have missed so much of your work. I hope you will forgive me and know that I'll be back stronger than ever as soon as I can.

    Lovely Iris poem. The Iris flower is always special to us. My 91 year old Mum was first born of triplets. Her brother Allan was second and a baby girl named Iris was third. Iris died on the fourth day after birth.

    You are the only one who can use Rhizomes in a poem - love it!
