Iron Man 2 Comic Con Footage Lives Up to Original

Iron Man 2 Comic Con footage was highly anticipated, after the Iron Man Comic Con footage was such a big hit two years ago. The Iron Man 2 Comic Con footage was among the most highly anticipated events in Comic Con, as Iron Man 2 looked to take off from Comic Con footage, like Iron Man first did in 2007. When the original Iron Man showed its first footage, it was its first step towards becoming a surprise blockbuster. But Iron Man 2 is hardly flying under the radar, as the new footage further excited the Comic Con audience.

The Iron Man 2 Comic Con footage was also accompanied by director Jon Favreau, and stars Robert Downey Jr, Don Cheadle, Scarlett Johansson and Sam Rockwell. Downey had already hyped up his upcoming Sherlock Holmes at Comic Con, but Iron Man 2 is what many Comic Con audiences came to see.

In 2007, the first Iron Man footage from Comic Con put the original on the radar for the first time. In a comic book movie world dominated by Spider Man and Batman, Iron Man was an unknown commodity - with Robert Downey Jr not having quite taken the world by storm again yet. But Comic Con helped change that.

For Iron Man 2, it doesn't need Comic Con so much to get its name out there. But the new Comic Con footage showed off some highly anticipated new elements for the rabid audience.

The Comic Con footage displayed Tony Stark and Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury discussing the Avengers again, Stark defending his Iron Man suit in court, Mickey Rourke's Whiplash wrecking havoc - and for a final surprise, Jim Rhodes' alter-ego War Machine finally takes off.

As of yet, these scenes aren't online, but discussion of the Iron Man 2 Comic Con footage is at full gear. Aside from discussing Iron Man 2 itself, Favreau and the panel were asked about the Holy Grail of Marvel's upcoming films - The Avengers, the long awaited teamup of all of Marvel's heroes, including Iron Man.

But first, they still have to finish Iron Man 2, 2010's other big Marvel epic Thor, and any other new superhero movies they can pepper Avengers teasers into.

With the Comic Con audience satisfied, Iron Man 2 will have the next 10 months to show new footage to a wider audience, before it finally comes out in May 2010.
