IRT: Deadliest Roads, Season 1, Episode 1 premiered on History Channel Sunday night with Lisa Kelly, Alex Debogorski, and Rick Yemm. Getting out of Delhi was bad enough for the trio, but the mountain roads would prove to be even more dangerous. The Season 1, Episode 1 premiere of IRT: Deadliest Roads saw one driver quit early: Alex Debogorski, while Lisa Kelly and Rick Yemm would continue on. This experience really gave the drivers a culture shock of the first degree. But the program is a nice, yet chaotic break from all that cold up north for viewers.

IRT: Deadliest Roads, Season 1, Episode 1 Saw Lisa Kelly, Alex Debogorski, and Rick Yemm Take on India's Most Terrifying Drives

From Delhi, India, the trio are set up to deliver construction supplies for a massive hydroelectric project, and are expected to take on dangerous roads all the way to the Himalayas over the course of two months. The trucks they use have nothing but a wood frame to protect them, and the amenities inside are basically scarce, including crappy fans and low horsepower. Every trucker gets a spotter to help navigate the roads, which in Delhi, are clogged with drivers. They also have to drive on the "wrong side" of the road and the truck, too.

Rick Yemm gets out of Delhi all right on IRT: Deadliest Roads, Season 1, Episode 1, and his spotter Abdul has trouble communicating with Ice Road Truckers veteran. As he hits the foothills, he comes up on drivers who risk head on collisions constantly with their utterly reckless driving. Yemm does nothing but rightfully bitch about the country's driving culture. Later, he and Lisa Kelly go through some Hindu rituals, hoping for some protection. Rick Yemm then comes up to a rickety bridge that has missing bolts. Spotter Abdul helps lead him slowly across the safety hazard, which has just enough space for the truck at the safest crossing areas. Then he travels a narrow road full of potentially falling rocks and with a narrow rocky underpass that's full of oncoming bus drivers who are more concerned about speedy trips than safety. This makes Yemm state he'll quit after delivering the load on the premiere of IRT: Deadliest Roads. He arrives at the construction site, but says no more about quitting.

IRT: Deadliest Roads, Season 1, Episode 1 Sees Lisa Kelly Fight Sickness and Alex Debogorski Give Up

Lisa Kelly gets gawked by the locals on the premiere since she's a woman truck driver. She complains of the shifting problems, the 115 degree heat in the cab, which is without good air conditioning, and causes her to have various symptoms like nausea. At night, Kelly is terrified of her surroundings while driving, taking every twist and turn slowly. Her spotter is Tashi, who manages to get her across the dangerous bridge, but the two clash a bit as she maneuvers the "Freefall Freeway" behind Rick, making it safely.

For Alex Debogorski, he encounters a huge traffic jam in a Delhi suburb and rips off a car door, but it's not his fault. Still, he's shaken, but soon after takes the fender off an automobile, creating a crowd around him. His spotter Sanjeev protects the driver from being victim to a mob and is his middle man with the police, who can't determine fault. At night, the old vet has yet to hit the foothills and decides to quit on the premiere of IRT: Deadliest Roads, Season 1, Episode 1. He just can't take the danger and the utter culture shock.
