Lisa Kelly Can't Avoid Gawkers on IRT : Deadliest Roads, Season 1, Episode 9

Dave Redmon begins by continuing to gripe about the road conditions as he initially leads the way, and laments Lisa's situation. After seven weeks, Lisa is driving alone, as Tashi has been relieved. When Redmon and Kelly arrive to pickup building materials, they are adamant about not being overloaded. Lisa doesn't want more than 130 bags of cement to be loaded to Keylong. Dave refuses to allow the Indians to double stack drums of tar. Outside of Manali, Lisa Kelly has to deal with drivers who stop and stare at her, causing traffic jams. As the two ascend, they come up to a closed road, halting their progress. Later, Redmon takes a motorcycle up the road to check things out, and is again told that it is closed by a soldier.

As for Rick Yemm, he trudges on reluctantly to Manali to reload, hoping to meet up with the other two IRT : Deadliest Roads drivers on Season 1, Episode 9 before a storm hits. The winds pick up and Yemm looks to catch up by taking some hairy short cuts. After arriving, he gets some water storage tanks. But Abdul refuses to go to Keylong with him because he's got a better job in Delhi. The two part ways amicably. Rick catches up to the two since the road is closed.

The next day, the drivers head up the Rohtang Pass, but soon find themselves in another traffic jam, which means more gawkers for the reality show "fantasy girl" Lisa Kelly. This causes her to hide on the truck's floor. As the crowds build up at the truck, someone tries to get inside her cab. Dave and Rick have to come to her rescue and keep the crowd at bay until they finally leave on IRT: Deadliest Roads, Season 1, Episode 9. As the journey continues, Redmon's truck is ever so close to the ledge, but the drive is slow, to where eight hours on the road means not getting to the Rohtang Pass. Little daylight is left, and the trucks have bad headlights.

The Drive Up Rohtang Pass Gets More Treacherous on IRT : Deadliest Roads, Season 1, Episode 9

Collectively, the trio decides to continue as light gives way to darkness, going between high snow drifts, and holes in the road. Rick, behind Lisa Kelly, is frustrated that she is driving too slow for his tastes, and even calls her a name that's bleeped out. Yemm passes Kelly, and now Lisa is behind, who says she has trouble seeing, so she stops as the two others forge ahead. She's shown all alone. In Keylong, Dave and Rick arrive without Lisa, but soon, Kelly arrives safely, too. The trio then goes to bed.
