Is 50 Cent's Crash Diet a Bad Diet?

W. Davies
Recently pictures of 50 cent looking 50 pounds lighter have surfaced on the internet. At first glance the images appear to be fake but once you stare at them for a good 5 minutes you can see the before and after resemblance. It has been stated that Curtis Jackson also known as 50 cent lost this weight to play the role of a cancer patient in his upcoming film Things fall Apart. It seems like this role must have some personal connection to 50 for him to be that motivated to lose that amount of weight. It was revealed that the role is based on a friend of 50 cent's. This news when first released was all very touching and showed a side of 50 cent that people don't really see, but that was until the California nutritionist Dr. Douglas Husbands had something to say about it.

Husbands told AOL that losing weight that quickly through the use of liquid only diets is harmful and unhealthy. He goes on to inform that it "puts stress on the heart" and that the best way to lose weight is over a "longer time and in a more reasonable way." It seems apparent that if 50 really wanted to prepare for the role he should have planned his weight loss over a long period of time, rather than rushing it and losing all of that weight in 2 months. The role would lose its significance if he were to experience some harmful side affects from the weight loss, therefore preventing him from taking on the role altogether. Aside from that I do appreciate 50 cents ambition and passion for something other than attempting to "Get Rich, or Die Tryin'. "
