You might be blaming the formation of acne on your skin to different causes and might be worried how it might affect your blemish free skin forever. For a long period of time, you have taken all possible care to pamper your skin with the bet possible lotions and potions to keep it young and healthy. You have harbored dreams of being another Cleopatra who was famous for her legendary skin. But did you know that some of these stuffs that you are using to beautify your aging skin might be alleviating the growth of acne on your skin? While make up by itself does not cause acne, it does prevent curing of the same.

Adult acne happens when there hormonal imbalances in your body which lead to the discharge of excessive oil by the glands under the surface of the skin. The glands present under the skin of a normal and unaffected human too produces oil, but this is washed away and cleared during the normal process of cleaning their face with soap and water. However the excessive oil cannot be combated with this method and the extra oil holds back the dead skin cells and cause them to block the pores of the skin. This does not permit the skin to breathe and also helps bacteria to breed, thus causing red colored, painful and pus filled formations that we commonly know as acne.

There are many means through which an adult can combat acne. Applying commercial creams helps a lot, but one has to remember that the skin of the adult is not as soft and as receptive as that of teenagers. There are some simple natural treatments that works wonders and will help the acne to vanish as quickly as it appeared. Drinking lots of water per day is one of the simplest, cheapest and best solutions for this problem. The more fluid you drink, the more your clear up your body. Your entire system gets flushed up and purified. Avoid excessive make up and if possible avoid make up for a short period of time while you are combating acne. The foundation that you are applying on your face clogs the pores of the skin in the same way that the dead cells are. Above all, do clean your face using a mild soap and flush it with lukewarm water.

Those are just some of the tips that might help you with your day to day acne issues. Never forget though that the internet is huge and valuable source of information with the latest health articles just a few keystrokes away. If you keep yourself educated, you'll have a far greater chance of beating adult acne and living your life with beautiful clear skin.
