Is America and the World Ready for Another Borat?
Borat 2 is Revealed, Are We Ready for a Sequel to This Crazy Movie?
Even though the movie Borat was sued by a bunch of angry people, Sacha Baron Cohen put it in the back of his mind and basically stated that he will return for another Borat movie. As heard recently, Cohen is filming a movie called Bruno right now, but once he is finished, he will grow back the famous mustache from the first film and carry on his unusual yet popular image. Even though Cohen was sued for hundreds of thousands of dollars, his film has so far made over $240 million dollars, and is also approaching the $250 million dollar mark. Since many people have seen the Borat character on television via HBO and on the movie screen, how much more can Cohen possibly do to impress audiences worldwide? We will just have to wait and see.
While it's unknown to when Borat 2 will begin filming, the rumors state that it will be immediately after Cohen films Bruno. As much as people love the Ali G show, Cohen will feed off of that intensity and make movies about his popular characters on the show. Borat, is by far the most popular of the bunch and I and surely a bunch of other people cannot wait until the sequel of Borat is filming and released.
Remember now, these are all rumors and there haven't been any official confirmations. Murdoch even stated in a recent interview that the statements weren't accurate at all, and that people over exaggerated this topic a bit. Even though there is no deal in line that Cohen will be officially filming a Borat 2, the idea is out there and hopefully he and a lot of other people will read this article, because I really want to see a sequel to this hilarious movie. I will update this story once I get more information.

Post a CommentRyan-- Very true, but Borat is a film that has taken over the world. Even if people already know about what he is doing, do you think they would go along with the act? I am sure he would pay people to go along with it, if they haven't already heard about him. Whatever the case may be, it is going to be one heck of a ride. I really enjoyed the first one, although there were many people who found it harsh.
I'm actually surprised he's filming another one. I heard a lot of discussion about how it might be relatively hard to keep getting people to not know who he is due to all the media coverage Borat got. Thanks for sharing.
