My answer is a definite no. White has had some good performances, one of which was when she sang "Let It Be" while playing the piano. Even with a vocal problem at the beginning of the song I enjoyed it very much. Brooke White seems very comfortable in front of the piano. Out of all of her performances it was by far her best.
Unfortunately, Brooke White has not been consistent. While sure she is choosing songs that she enjoys, her song choices are slow-tempo and quite boring. Because she has only really done this style of music, it would almost be impossible for her to get on stage with a rock and roll song and be accepted by the viewers.
There are a few things that I have seen that she would probably change if she watched clips from the show. During her performance on stage singing the song "You've Got a Friend," Brooke had a major problem with her facial expressions. With her pretty eyes and perfect teeth she should have smiled to show her pearly whites. Instead, she had an angry look on her face as if she was in distress or pain. At that point I did not get into the song. I was too absorbed in watching her expressions. It is hard to anyway when she will not do something a little more upbeat. Her music may be keeping America voting for her now, but soon viewers will get just as bored as I.
Jason Castro and Brooke White are both moving downhill fast. White may want to consider picking something up-tempo if she wants to stay in the competition. With too many not-so-great performances, Brooke White's days in the American Idol season seven competition will soon be over.
