Is Amy Robach Getting a Divorce? How About Ann Curry? Then Which Today Show Anchor is Getting Divorced?
Where Did This Crazy Rumor Come From?
The answer is apparently that none of these people are getting divorced.
So what's up with the rumors? Gossip is swirling that Amy Robach, Ann Curry and Campbell Brown are all getting divorced.
So far the rumor hasn't been traced back to its roots, but here's what we know for sure.
The Today Show's Ann Robach has been engaged to actor Andrew Shue, brother of actress Elizabeth Shue, since the fall of 2009. Amy Robach and Andrew Shue were married just last week at The Lighthouse in New York City. No, there is no word of a divorce just one week after the ceremony.
The marriage is the second for both Amy Robach and Andrew Shue. Amy Robach was married to and divorced from Tim McIntosh. They have two daughters together. Andrew Shue was married to Jennifer Hageney and has no children.
Today news anchor Ann Curry is not reported to be getting divorced either. Ann Curry is married to a software executive named Brian Ross. They have two children, a daughter and a son.
Campbell Brown is a news anchor on Weekend Today and anchors for CNN. She is not getting divorced either. She has been married to Dan Senor since 2006 and has two sons, Eli and Asher.
Just for the record, Meredith Viera has three children with her husband, Richard Cohen. They have been married since 1986.
Matt Lauer married his wife, Annette Roque in 1998. He was divorced from his first wife, Nancy Aspaugh.
So there you have it. All of these Today Show anchors are happily married. Well, at least they are married.
Where do these rumors come from? Who knows? Perhaps someone was interested in Amy Robach's first divorce which led to someone else thinking that she was getting a divorce from Andrew Shue. Then perhaps someone else realized that Amy Robach and Andrew Shue have only been married a week, so that person thought that it must be a different Today Show anchor getting divorced. Then the rumors began about divorces for Ann Curry, Campbell Brown and pretty much everyone else on the Today Show.
Perhaps the Today Show should consider a special Valentine's Day show where anchors can introduce their spouses to everyone.
Happy Valentine's Day to the Today Show and to everyone else.
