The most basic way of looking at it the PH of the aura is its contraction or expansion. Expansion through inhabiting the outer layers of our auras, the more spiritual identity that goes beyond our point of incarnated personality, is great. Having the smaller layers of the aura that should be contained within a reasonable distance extend themselves too far can at times be problematic, though this is not very common. Mediums, people with boundary issues, Kundalini psychosis, distraction and daydreaming,, and others do have this issue at times. In general, people normally benefit by working at enlarging their auras, however.
More often, we have auras that become too acidic and contracted. Waste products from eating food are acid, and they can accumulate in the blood vessels, clogging them, lowering oxygen levels, and eating into our tissues. This is similar to the aura accumulating byproducts of emotions, mental debris, the effects of empathy, stimulation overload. Anything we take in and process incompletely can clog our auras, and make them overly acidic. Too much acid in the body can cause too much fungus, mold, yeast, bacteria, parasites and viruses. Similarly, too much unprocessed waste in the aura can feed parasitic entities. The acidity in the body can occur because we aren't assimilating minerals that buffer the PH, especially calcium, and oxygen. Assimilation and releasing what we take into our aura is key.
If we bring in too many situations and information to work through, without dreams, journaling, talking about it with friends, expressing creatively, moving it through with physical exercise, or deeply feeling our emotions, or doing some acupressure, or other body/mind therapy, we can have a congested aura, causing corrosive acids to eat away our energy field. Drinking water helps release acids, if it's alkaline, as healthy water should be, though tap water certainly isn't. Charging water with intention has a pronounced effect on the aura, making it bright and large, so that could be seen as alkalizing it. If we are too acid, the yeasts such as Candida find an easier time living in our system, and then excrete even more acid wastes, clogging our lymphatic system, leading to headaches, for example, swollen lumps in the scalp that can be felt and pushed around with the fingers. Parasites in the aura can clog our energy fields and leave their own unpleasant unprocessed emotions for us to deal with as well, causing pain and emotional swelling,, as if we had more emotion to contain than we can deal with.
A major reason for humanity being generally too acidic is our diet, too high in animal products and refined flours, sugars, coffee, soft drinks. Eating more fresh vegetables helps us become more alkaline, and thus avoid cancer, osteoporosis, diabetes, and the range of other diseases. A chart of which foods are acid, and which alkaline may be very useful if you want to balance not only your physical body but your aura, as the state of the body affects the aura, as well as the other way around. Tuning into nature, not requiring too much destruction of animal life, not denaturing the world around us, letting ourselves be drawn to that which is naturally balanced rather than being swayed by our counter-intuitive desires may be indicated.
Even slight acidosis damages the heart, causes weight gain and diabetes, aging, calcium deposits, tiredness, back pain, irritability, poor immune function. Acid stores itself in fat cells to protect the body, and the aura itself can store the wastes away from the body, making it harder to access the self. It makes it harder for others to "see" through the aura and feel the real you. You can feel weighed down, sluggish, unattractive, because your own aura is heavy, and you may not understand why. Others may react to you differently than they would if you had a slimmer, fitter aura, so to speak, with clear skin, and smooth muscle tone. The aura is a kind of immune system energetically, protecting us from outside forces, and if it isn't serving that function, we may be more easily attacked by spirits, by other people's barbed thoughts, by psychic vampirism, and auric contagion. Our heart chakra may not feel love as easily, and we may feel ourselves be on edge.
Acidosis affects constipation, gout, allergies, kidney stones, etc, all kinds of congestion and lack of flow of energy. It comes not only from diet, but from stress, dehydration, sleep deprivation, not breathing deeply, and learned habits that may have come from even from the time in the womb.
If the baby is in the field of the mother during gestation, feeling her contraction or expansion, it will most likely have some affect on the tendency towards PH style. If the mother is too expanded and alkaline, without enough digestive juices, low on the potassium scale, the baby may feel it isn't worthy of feeding, growing and taking up space, forming a bubble of protection around itself. If the mother is too contracted and acid, the baby may feel anxious, ready to protect itself from harm, maybe feeling the need to be selfish and manipulative to counteract the mother's lack of presence for it. The baby may curl up more, going within. Our styles of seeking out foods or stresses, etc. that make us too acid or alkaline may be learned to match or react to the aura of the mother. We would also learn this from our environment all our lives.
Our auras can become suddenly contracted, and acid, from fear, worry, shyness, feeling hurt, depression, anger, frustration. Sometimes people contract their auras and give no sign at all of any emotion but it can be seen by an aura viewer, and felt by sensitive persons. When we are in some sort of relationship with someone that matters to us, and he constricts his aura, or part of it, we can feel it, and it doesn't feel good. It can hurt, can make ours also constrict in response, can make us feel lonely and cut off, judged, abandoned, afraid, and acid. It can literally feel painful. This can happen sometimes even at a distance when we don't know what's going on with the person, and we can be mystified by it.
Learning to make our auras contract when they need to, to have the self-protective response and ability to focus and digest is useful, rather than dissociating and spreading out into a daze. And even more likely, the need to be able to keep our auras expanded rather than contracting from negative emotions is something we may want to practice, and thinking of it in terms of PH, keeping the aura balanced just as we would our bodies, for the same reasons, can help make it more real for us.
If you feel the habit of turning inward, tightening, clenching, shutting down, becoming hard edged or resentful, try making yourself keep your bones of your body separated rather than pulled in against themselves. Don't let your parietal bones collapse inward and get stuck. Don't let your ribs cave in on themselves. Don't let the muscles of your arms get ready for a fight, and your hands turn into fists. And similarly, do the same thing with your aura. Consciously keep it expanded outwards at times you'd normally find it withdrawing, and see what that does. You may be able to rewrite your chemical and metaphysical responses and lead a more rewarding life.
