Is the Bachelor's Emily Maynard Auditioning for Bachelorette?

Is The Bachelor's Emily Maynard auditioning for the role of The Bachelorette? Before I get into the topic, I must warn readers about a possible Bachelor spoiler. In fact, let's just say I wouldn't be writing this article if I hadn't already heard at least one Bachelor spoiler or two.

So with that said, I can only guess that it's very predictable that Emily Maynard is not the girl who is presented the final rose. According to several internet outlets(like Reality Steve), Brad opts for Chantal instead of Emily Maynard when it comes down to those two. Bachelor fans may have already guessed as much after what was an incredibly awkward hometown date between Brad and Emily Maynard.

Who is Emily Maynard? She's just the girl who America has fallen in love with over the course of The Bachelor this season. Maynard lost her last love because of a plane crash. But she now has a daughter who she reluctantly introduced to Bachelor Brad Womack on the home town dates. Let's just say it was one of the most awkward moments in Bachelor history. Brad Womack wouldn't plant a kiss on Emily because her daughter was sleeping upstairs at the moment(his words, not ours!). According to Reality TV World, host Chris Harrison got a kick out of the whole incident.

But the whole incident and the current Bachelor spoilers floating around out there make me wonder if Emily Maynard would be the perfect Bachelorette. Some might feel as if Ashley would deserve that chance considering how much energy she puts forth on her dates with Brad. But my take is that America has already chosen Emily Maynard as The Bachelorette even though most probably aren't even aware she won't make the final cut. In fact, there will be a huge level of disappointment if The Bachelor spoilers are accurate and Emily gets dumped on The Final Rose night. That sets up a perfect segue for Emily Maynard to grab the role of The Bachelorette?

Sure, we'll probably hear her spill of saying that Brad "taught me how to love again" and that now she is truly ready. We've heard that kind of Bachelorism stuff before leading into the next show. It seems quite logical that Emily would be the last to be jilted and the first to be cast. That's become quite typical of the spin-off Bachelor.

So would Emily Maynard be the best candidate for The Bachelorette? It's clear Emily still has a few issues to deal with before truly being ready for her new love--but it seems likely that 25 handsome suitors would probably do the trick. Emily might not be as magnetic of a personality as some of the other Bachelorette women--but she'll certainly grab at the heart strings like Jason Mesnick did with her daughter. Single moms everywhere would instantly relate and it would be an incredibly strong fit if she chooses to do it. The question might be, "would a recently jilted Emily Maynard" opt out of such an opportunity? Or would she just "go for it"?? Maynard tossed her heart into the ring for The Bachelor so why not for an opportunity to meet 25 or more single men? Maynard certainly doesn't seem like the type to like the spotlight but she shines quite well in it.

I would be absolutely shocked if The Bachelor spoilers are correct and Emily doesn't participate in The Bachelorette. It just kind of makes sense from an ABC standpoint and an "Emily needs a good man" standpoint.
It just kind of adds up. At least that's probably what America is telling itself as we inch closer to the Final Rose ceremony.
