Is Barack Obama Really Cobra Commander?

One is looking to become the leader of the free world. The other is seeking global domination. They are Barack Obama, the Democratic Senator running for President of the United States, and Cobra Commander, leader of Cobra, a ruthless terrorist organization determined to rule the world and the sworn enemy of G.I. Joe, as the depicted in the series of comic books and toys.

On the surface, the two would appear to have little in common, but upon closer inspection, there are some startling similarities. So many in fact, there are rumors that Obama and the Commander, whose identity is still a mystery, may actually be the same person. Some may find the prospect absurd, until confronted with the facts. Is Barack Obama really Cobra Commander? A look at the facts may prove once and for all that they are one and the same. Could we actually elect Barack Cobrama?

1. BOTH HAVE CALLED FOR GOVERNMENT CHANGE!

Cobra Commander has called for a change in America's government, with him in charge. Obama's call for "Change We Need" will put Democrats in control of the government, with him in charge.

2. BOTH ROSE TO POWER IN SPRINGFIELD!

Springfield is the name of the town Cobra's followers have taken over and made their own. Sen. Obama first took public office as a state senator in Illinois. What is the state capital in Illinois, where all the state senators work? SPRINGFIELD!

3. BOTH HAVE THE POWER TO SWAY LARGE AUDIENCES!

Cobra Commander started as a salesman who was able to convince large groups of people to follow him with little question. Barack Obama started as a little-known politician who was able to convince large groups of people to follow him with little question.

4. BOTH HAVE ASSOCIATED WITH KNOWN TERRORISTS AND CRIMINALS!

Both Cobra Commander and Barack Obama rose to power with the help of radicals, terrorists, and criminals. Obama has Rezko; Cobra Commander has Destro. Obama has Ayers and Wright; Cobra Commander has Zartan and Major Bludd.

5. BOTH HAVE BATTLED VIETNAM VETERANS!

Most members of Cobra Commander's enemy G.I. Joe are Vietnam veterans. Obama's opponent in the election, John McCain, is a decorated Vietnam veteran.

6. THE DENVER ASSASSINATION ATTEMPTS

While in Denver, someone tried to kill Cobra Commander by shooting him, but he survived the attempt and became more a radical, bold leader. According to CBS in Denver, four meth-addicts were arrested in Denver during the Democratic National Convention for planning to shoot Obama at Mile High Stadium. Obama, of course, survived and since has become a more radical, bold leader.

7. BOTH OPENLY CONFLICT WITH STRONG WOMEN!

Cobra Commander has battled with strong women many times, often some that are on his side. One of them, the Baroness, tried to unseat Cobra Commander from power, feeling she and Destro were better leaders. Barack Obama had a bitter primary fight with fellow Democrat Hillary Clinton, who felt she could be a better leader. Obama now does battle with Gov. Sarah Palin, who has more experience as a leader than he does (Four years as governor vs. two years as a senator).

Cobra Commander's greatest enemy? G.I. Joe! Barack Obama's new enemy? Joe the Plumber!

The facts do not lie! Barack Obama is obviously Cobra Commander! Do the smart thing and vote for a real American hero: John McCain!
