Jesus Christ and the redemption of mankind is the theme of the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation. It was revealed in the very beginning when God said to the serpent, "I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel." (Gen. 3:15)
Revelation depicts the end of the age and the consummation of all things. We have man's beginning and his ultimate destiny. Since the consummation of all things hasn't happened, how could the Bible be irrelevant and outdated? We still await the coming of our King and His instructions on how we are to live and prepare for His return are in the Bible.
A number of people believe that only the New Testament is relevant which couldn't be farther from the truth. Jesus quoted many times from the Old Testament. He said in John 5:39 that the Old Testament testifies of Him. In Luke 24:27 it says, "And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself." He didn't say the Scriptures contained bits of truth but that they were pure, unchangeable, eternal truth. (1Peter 1:23)
Any true student of the Bible understands the profound wisdom it contains which is relevant to any and all generations. Comprehensive studies have shown that the Bible contains scientific facts about our world that could not have been known to the writers of that era except through divine revelation.
The Bible is a supernatural book of divine inspiration that has the power to conform us to the image of Christ and set us apart from this world. "Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth." (John 17:17) When did the truth become outdated and irrelevant?
Through the Bible, God and the Son of God have been revealed to us, each of which equally embodies the very essence of truth. "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6) Since God is the eternal and self-existent Creator, He is the source of all truth.
Of course there will always be things in the Bible we won't be able to understand. Paul said it is written in a mystery. "The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever." (Deut. 29:29)
To view the Bible as outdated and irrelevant is nothing but pure arrogance. Having the knowledge of today does not make us more intelligent than our ancestors. Knowledge is not wisdom. "Professing to be wise, they became fools." (Rom. 1:21-22)
Even if the Lord tarried another thousand years His Word would still not be outdated or irrelevant. The Bible is true today and it will continue to be true because God's Word is eternal.
Believing that the divinely inspired Word of God no longer applies to us is a lie from the devil. Satan would love nothing better than to have us believe that we no longer need the Scriptures. It's just like the lie he told Eve in the garden, "Yea, hath God said?"
Don't believe Satan. He's a liar and the father of it. Believe God.
"Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away." (Matt. 24:35)

Post a CommentYou cant say about a scripture who many claim its from God is outdated. Scriptures is either authentic or not. By Authentic, I mean its 100% from God "If you believe there is God". So if there is one mistake its not Authentic and in this case we have to look what caused inauthentic.
And since there is facts that will never change like water is H2O and earth is somehow eggy shape and round not flat like the bible say. We have to go through various in bible to see wether bible goes with facts or not. When you read bible, there are hundred if not thousands of verses that shows clear mistakes and errors that put the bible in Inauthentic or Non Authentic status.
