Is the Bible Really Full and Complete?

Godfather89
Christianity believes that the bible is the complete and ineffable word of god. Yet how can that be since it was put together by men in the 3rd century A.D? The Bible while has many God-inspired events is not the complete word. At this time I would like to say to many Christians that I consider myself a Christian and that I am not a Muslim. If you feel offended by any of this please stop reading. If you decide to comment do not tell me about damnation and things of the like!

I. Early Christianity and Roman Empire

In the beginning Christianity was nothing more than a sect of Jewish followers, called Jewish Christians. For awhile this sect was the predominate way of becoming a Christian. The Nazarenes, holding to orthodoxy except in their adherence to Jewish law, were not deemed heretical until the dominance of orthodoxy in the fourth century. The Ebionite's may have been a splinter group of Nazarenes, with disagreements over Christology and leadership. After the condemnation of the Nazarenes, "Ebionite" was often used as a general pejorative for all related "heresies". Jewish Christians than became Ebonite's that affirmed there Jewish heritage and the Jewish laws but followed the teachings of Christ.

Than, Paul of Tarsus became the main way to convert Gentiles to Christianity. Overtime this caused a rift as Christianity became largely a Gentile religion and was possibly "pagan-ized" as it expanded throughout the Pagan Roman Empire. After the destruction of the Jewish temple in 70 A.D. the Christian Church moved and a center for Judaism became no more. Scholars such as Dr. Tabor state that Essenes and early Christians had a number of similar beliefs. The Essenes practiced baptism, believed in a New Covenant, were messianic and believed themselves a remnant of the faithful preparing the way for the reign of God's glory.

They called their group by names that would later be used by Christians, such as the Way and the Saints. Jesus preached a number of doctrines similar to Essene "Halacha." They followed a charismatic leader who was opposed and possibly killed at the instigation of the Pharisees. John the Baptist seems to have risen out of this context. However, despite all these well known sects there also came many esoteric sects. Thus Christian Gnosticism was formed in the process. It was coupled with Greek and Egyptian philosophies, arts and literature.

There are four prominent Christian esoteric sects called Sophians, Valentinians, Cathar and Manichaean. However, these were deemed heretical by the church not to soon after its formation. This does not mean it is an evil esoteric belief it just goes against dogma. There is also the formation Jewish esoteric teaching called Sethians and the Kabbala. Again this was deemed heretical by all exoteric religions including it source of Judaism. Again, this does not mean its an evil esoteric teaching it simply means it goes against Dogma. All these sects esoteric and exoteric created tension within the Roman Empire and sometimes broke out in violence, and rioting began to occur to frequently in the already declining Roman Empire. Something needed to be done to bring Rome back under control.

II. The Council of Nicaea

So the answer was to create one unified religion that dictates laws and policy. Emperor Constantine gathered all the sects of Christianity at the city of Nicaea. This is where the Roman Catholic Church was founded and its book the Bible was made. The Emperor demanded that all fighting sects come to an agreement on some of the basics of Christianity. Therefore, a compromise was made some parts of others where added others parts where taken out. Everything the bible is about turned out to be a rule book to serve the emperor and control society.

Now if man is imperfect and he is editing "adding and taking away" to such a holy book how can it be perfect surely if man is imperfect his editing skills are imperfect then to. Thus, the meaning of the word "catholic," which means "general" or "universal." In order for something to be a general meaning it needed to be simplified.

The Emperor used his power to create a state in which he (which latter became the Pope) would dictate rules and beliefs (these rules are called Dogma's) to all people who followed the religion and lived in the empire. Roman Empire turned from a Republic to a Dictatorship to a Theocratic society. Religion and State were one in the same. If there was a thought or different belief in the empire is was quickly snubbed out and labeled heretical. The word "heretic" actually means "anyone who does not conform to an established attitude, doctrine, or principle" or in other words individual mined or a "Freethinker." In today's world we follow free will and individuality highly and so did Jesus Christ. He taught that what goes around comes around. This can only happen on the individual level. It is important to remember that Jesus Christ himself would be labeled a Heretic even by supposedly "his own" church.

III. The Formation of a Social and Economic Powerhouse

Thus the creation of the economic powerhouse of the church. In the beginning the word of Christ was spread by his peaceful apostles. Than once it was formed was used to oppress anything but Christianity itself. Through this was spread by the sword. Eventually, the people just accepted Roman Catholicism that it was spreading by the ever growing population in the western world. As I had said in previous articles I have written the church is in the business of selling faith to the masses of ignorant followers. Interesting enough faith means belief in religious doctrine or dogma's. Again same question as before if man is imperfect than how can man create the perfect religion?
Since the RCC (Roman Catholic Church) is a business its only concern is bringing in money to do that they play on your beliefs like the way they played on the beliefs of others for the past 1700 years! Not going to church is considered a sin while else? So than you cannot "donate" money to them. Which they use for there own ends this includes making there public image look good by helping impoverished countries and peoples money.
The church also is a powerful social-base. The majority of the followers of world religions are Christian. That leads to a powerful base to operate from. They have quite a large say in society because, people will always try to pin there beliefs onto others. Case in point would be homosexuality. In America marriage is considered a Man and Woman. Not Man and Man or Woman and Woman. However who set that standard but the church. Instead certain states give legal union between homosexual couples. That is only in certain states, these states are usually liberal by nature such as Massachusetts.

So as you can see by controlling dogma and through editing the word of god you can manipulate people the way you want to manipulate them. They are one of the worlds leading source of spirituality on demons and possessions in fact the church has opened up schools on exorcisms. They are monopoly on your beliefs. They dictate what is best for everyone yet the world is so secular and even in its past if what they taught was so right than how was there so much wrong?.

IV. Roman Empire Dead or Alive?

The Roman Empire is still here and very much alive. It in fact spans the world! However, instead of an Emperor you have a Pope and the capital is no longer Rome but the Vatican a City State. There empire is borderless its empire draws it strength from the people. As long as the people continue to think that the RCC dictates your life than the RCC will always live even onto the future. As long as people continue to put stress what the RCC is telling them than there will always be someone to hate and war against!
They rely on your ignorance that they want you to just simply keep quite and be "faithful." However, they do not say to them but instead to Christ because, they are supposedly the true church of Christ! I do not think so.
The RCC is not the only problem. They founded the World religion of Christianity! That means during the Great Schism and The Reformations and Councils any religion that was once part of the RCC but no longer is still maintains parts of what the RCC says thus having parts of RCC origin in them. Evangelist, Protestant, Baptist... The list can go on and on! They are all problem that stem from the same thing of a hating doctrines that are set-up to control society to do there will, this is not what Jesus Christ would have wanted and they lie to say that this is the True church of Christ.

V. Opening Your Eyes

Before you leave and comment on my article I ask that you please read Genesis 2:16-17 and Genesis 3: 1-5, 7, and 9, 22-24. Here is a perfect example of either the imperfect editing skills of human beings or the esoteric world that goes beyond the exoteric one. Now once you are done reading this I ask that you please answer these questions if you can:

1- When Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil did they die after eating it? Did God Lie? If God lied than this is not God... Because God is Love and Love rejoices in the truth!
2- Why would God say "Where are you?" if God is Omnipresent? Wouldn't he know where Adam is?
3- Didn't the serpent tell the truth? After all there eyes were opened and they did not die right after eating...
4- Would this all loving "God" want you to know the difference between Good and Evil?
5- Wouldn't an all-loving God live forever like what is said in the New Testament?
6- But wait... If it is written in (1 Samuel 15:29) God doesn't lie nor change his mind why would he punish mankind than seek to save them... Unless... This is not the One True God! Christ is Son to that One True God...
7- But since the son is within us that one true god must also be within us as well.

The Bible is an incomplete Word of God! There is more to this than just what is in front of you. Until you can discern what is in front of you only than will the rest be shown to you, as it is written in the Bible. The way that is narrow leads to life yet few find it... The way that is wide leads to destruction and many take it. Yes that is a prophecy of those "faithful followers" who never knew Christ but are just "faithful" to Christ... Again as I had said in the beginning of this article I am neither a Muslim nor atheist trying to instill doubt but trying to show truth and shed light.

We do "certainly die". From the time that a human stops growing, they begin to die. Perhaps that is the age that Eve was when she ate the fruit.

Thank you for your column. I have been a Baptist S.S. teacher for 50 years and I could give you an answer to your questions which satisfy me, but probably would not satisfy you. Christianity is not about debates or tests. It is a belief and a communication with God. It is supernatural and life changing. No one is won to Christ through rules and dogma but through the Spirit of God just as Jesus demonstrated. Christianity is about love not judging. It is about helping not condemning. Bottom line it is about sharing and caring and if our Christianity does not produce that response in our lives, we need to repent.
    May God Bless You.
