A contact of mine inside the Birmingham City Council office sent me a message that there has been a lot of concern shown by Birmingham residents over the possibility of medical marijuana facilities opening up in Birmingham. According to my source, there is no need for concern at this time.
My source stated that the Birmingham City Council is going to let neighboring communities, like Ferndale, worry about medical marijuana facilities for the time being. They are not interested in debating ideas and ideals about how the medical marijuana facilities should be run or regulated. The Birmingham City Council has a lot on the plate right now, they are not interested in adding any new major items to the agenda.
