Is Bristol Palin on Dancing with the Stars Another Sanjaya Malakar?
Exactly What Are Fans Basing Their Votes On?
Judges are scoring based on performance, but are fans?
Cheryl Burke, who was eliminated along with her partner Rick Fox, said, "I have to say, this is the most shocking elimination I've ever been through in 10 seasons."
But some would say, "No Cheryl, you're wrong. The most shocking elimination was Audrina Patridge and Tony Dovolani."
Meanwhile, Bristol Palin, who scored lowest on Monday, as well as scoring at the bottom of the leaderboard on other episodes, survives elimination - again. How are fans voting for Bristol Palin? Are they voting for a good dancer or are they voting for an underdog who they want to see win?
If we remember Sanjaya Malakar from American Idol, he was the gorgeous Indian with the long beautiful hair and the fabulous smile. He was camera friendly, but he was far from one of the best singers. The judges acknowledged it, but the fans did not. Malakar managed to get to 7th place on the show. Although Simon Cowell has since tendered his resignation, during the Malakar sensation, Simon said if Malakar wins, "I won't be back if he does."
Was it the green outfits?
Kermit the Frog sang, "It's not easy being green." Is green a good color? Depends on who you talk to. Visuals play a part in our emotions and the bright kelly green zoot suit that Rick Fox wore, earning him the nickname Jolly Green Giant, along with Cheryl in her green dancing gown, may have been overkill. If fans are not basing their votes on ability, wearing the wrong costumes could prove costly.
Another victory for the Tea Partiers?
Is it a fact or more of a Dancing with the Stars conspiracy theory? Is Bristol Palin advancing due to Tea Partiers and Sarah Palin supporters?
As reported at Oregon Live, "This second unexpected elimination in a row (after Audrina Patridge's earlier-than-anticipated-exit) has some online commenters suspecting that supporters of Bristol's Mama Grizzly -- Sarah Palin, in case you've been comatose recently -- are calling in votes for Bristol."
This theory will gain steam if Bristol carries on with her style of performances, yet continues to survive elimination.

Post a CommentCathy C thats is exactly what I've been thinking "Political figures shouldn't be on the show" She is at the show in the middle of election time and Sarah appearances on the show almost every single week C'MON. This turned out to be a political thing that nobody can control now bc she is already in. People doesn't care about the dance but about a republican winning, to promote Sarah. This is making her look great as a mom and all them as a family. Republicans are doing a great job doing campaign for free through Bristol voting for her every week!
We shall see if Jennifer and/or Brandy survive elimination and if Bristol, once again, passes through. Everybody is saying the same thing, here and at other sites. If Bristol wins this thing, it's going to look really bad for DWTS. They know people are talking. Tom hinted that if we want who we consider good dancers to win, we need to vote. I made sure I voted.
What about Len. He is so loud and annoying that I have had to quit watching. I am rooting for Jennifer Grey and am saddened to have turned the TV off, but Len's nonsensical hollering is just too much.
IF BRISTOL IS STILL ON BY TONIGHT.....
I CAN TELL YOU MY FAMILY OF OVER 500 PEOPLE
""""""WILL NOT WATCH THAT SHOW EVER AGAIN"""""""""
I AM STARTING TO BELIEVE IT IS FIXED...............
I AM SORRY BUT SHE IS ONLY STILL ON BECAUSE THE STATE OF ALSAKA KEEPS VOTING FOR HER.
SHE HAS NO AND I MEAN NO IDEA OF HOW TO DANCE ..................
@Rhonda
Mark's talent makes this even worse as he should be aiming higher than "just push Palin around". You could compare this to Tony and Gosselin last year. Tony tried his hardest and went above and beyond with his choreography and trying to give Kate oppurtunities to showcase her improvement (however she was still horrible). Tony took on the challenge to make her a dancer while Mark is now covering up Palin's lack of skill/trying/talent.
It is a shame that the voters have kept in the worst dancers the last couple weeks.
Rhonda - You wrote "You libs make me sick!!!" When is this a conservatives vs. liberals thing? This is a dancing competition. If you're judging based on political preference, you're ruining the show. Keep politics out of DWTS.
partner,the!!! They have my votes
Mark is my favorite dancer on the show and I dont think its very nice of you putting him dowm like that! Yes he is making the dances simple and thats only because Bristol is having a hard time with them. I believe he is doing the best he can with her and he is also a very, warm, caring, and patient, parner with her! The man has won tge title twice already so maybe you should google his past dances with other partners before you put him down. He also won design a dance and put that dance routine together which was brillant! You libs make me sick!!!
Good points, Dozenz!
